Xbox One Pre-order of Rise of Iron
Ok so, I have absolutely no clue where to go about this and if there are any posts about this please send them my way. However, why the heck can I not pre order the upcoming Rise of Iron DLC. Now I know that in the past Bungie, you and Microsoft have had your issues, however this is a thing that kinda affects a lot of your fanbase, if you don't realise. And it doesn't seem fair that 1 half of your income is affected this hard, I realise that PS4 for whatever reason gets all sorts of gear, but this is ridiculous. I'n my eyes, games should never be exclusive to one console but you doing this is making the Xbox fanbase, who grew up on your Marathon and Halo franchises is pretty alienating. If we are going to get the ability to pre-order, can we at least know when we will be able to? Because tuning into your stream, and you saying that Rise of Iron will be available for pre-order after the stream, I thought '-blam!- yeah!' but then I saw that only PS4 could. Over a month on and I am still waiting. Throw me a bone here, please?

10 RepliesBasically, it wittles down to the way preordering works on the console. On PS4, when ya preorder some stuff, it will basically give you a 'virtual ticket', giving you early access to all the stuffs. However, on XBOX for this specific item, preorder will only be available when the dlc is fully constructed and made, because when you preorder on xbox, you are basically downloading the full thing, but with a lock and chain on it til release date. So, the main reason why you cannot get your preorder rn is due to how the xbox preorder system works. However, as soon as the game/dlc is fully made and ready, you will get the chance to preorder, which is beneficial to xbox more than ps4 in this case because xbox won't have to wait for download on day of release, because they already have the thing downloaded. Sorry if this was long winded haha

I frequent multiple forums and the confusion seems to be for most pre-orders on Xbox. 2. Xbox users don't account for half of Destiny players. Hence the reason why PlayStation has gotten so many exclusives

Deej said "soon" in the stream today. Which was great. Apparently it's a Microsoft issue though, nothing to do with PS getting special treatment, just Microsoft being terrible.

Same boat. I have a preorder through game stop ready, but when RoI drops I'm at college. I can transfer the preorder to a closer location, but that is still a few miles away from campus. With no way to reach it, well, I'm checking the Xbox store everyday...

Demand better service and quality from bungie. They are nothing more than a product provider, plain and simple and should not be treated any differently.

Its probably going to be exactly the same way the 360 got Taken King. The day of launch you will login to your Xbox One Console and you will see a new item on your Director. You will click on that item and it will inform you there is a purchase to be had. Click purchase and install. When Taken king came out I got the Pre-order even thou the purchase was on the day of release. Just a guess since nobody seems to be talking about this on record.

Hello, anyone home? Apparently not. What a surprise. Just more evidence (anecdotal of course) that Bungie really could care less about feedback and communication.
