So, over the weekend I did something I've never done before. I went to LFG for trials partners. (Wait, it gets better) I sent multiple invites and had countless people join my party to chat and ask if they wanted to do some trials. Most of them had came in asking my ELO. Now, I understand ELO is a pretty good way to gauge a players skill in Destiny. As well as KD. I don't have the best ELO because I don't always play with the best players that 9-0 every weekend. I usually try to help my friends. My ACTUAL friends. They're not elitists. They're not the best. Hell, I'M not the best, but I can 9-0 every weekend with the right team.
Long story short, these elitist joined my party and quickly took to DTR and trials report. (I can't blame them). But all of them said I WASN'T good enough. Yeah, it isn't the best thing to hear, but I know I'm good enough for smooth 9-0 runs. I used to help people to the light house every weekend. (I don't anymore, work gets in the way of trials help). After about 20 people saying I'm sh*t at the game I finally found someone. Lower stats than me, lower ELO. But I didn't care, I could help this guy out, right? Then we had a third that had the same mind set. He was a pretty good player. Up to par on stats with me. Wanna know what's funny? Last weekend, on Widows Court, was one of the fastest 9-0 cards I've ever played. With 2 guy from LFG that had decent stats.
Elitists. I have one thing to say to you. Give people a chance. I'm not upset I was turned down. Not one bit. I'm disappointed in you. There are people like me that help the little people to the light house, which means we might have lower ELO than you. But I'll take a guy that helps the community at the sacrifice of his numbers than the guy who turns everyone down because they don't have big numbers. Maybe you can also help the lighthouse virgins if you're that good.
Thanks for reading guys!
Edit: Thank you everyone for your opinions on this. Anyone can do it. Anyone can go to the lighthouse. You just gotta put the effort forth. Btw, we are trending! Thanks to being trending because of all of you, lighthouse virgins see this post first and hopefully that means that they can match up with some of you better players and finally go flawless! You guys are awesome! Thank you!

1 ReplyPlayed in Year 1 on Xbox. TTK for PS. Been flawless many times in year 1, but can't get a team for year 2. So many fags saying the same sh1t. "Oh your stats aren't good enough." "Your ELO is terrible." "You've never been flawless." "Get out of my party. You die too much." I'm sorry I'm not as good as I was in Y1. Sorry I'm the one that needs to change so that you don't have to. They need to separate these sh1theads from normal crucible. It's not even fun anymore with these d1cks running around.

12 RepliesHey if you are Xbox one, buddy and I are going to play this weekend we looking for a friendly third more then welcome to join us. We are chill players but love trials.
-
1 ReplyI'm a streamer and whoever knows me will tell you that I do not care about stats or who you are. I recently started helping others get to the lighthouse and I do enjoy helping others. The only thing that I highly dislike is when someone is ungrateful after you helped them.

2 Replies7 wins is my record. I feel like trials was one thing Y2 actually improved on though. I don't plan or expect to ever make it to the lighthouse, but I'm happy I can get some gear from the bounties now. Trials has some of the best looking gear in the game, and that's all I really want out of it.

Hey mate, Our clan is looking for good trials players. The trick is find guys who are good with the same mentality that you share. Send us a friend request if you're keen! Offer stands for anyone who has a relaxed and friendly approach to all aspects of the game! Daddy_DONG_Legz

2 Repliessomething similar happened to me on sunday.- i had already given up trying to look for people on the forums to run a trials card. I was so bummed out because all the players i added as soon as they saw my 1.0 kd would just kick me out or leave me. Suddenly out of nowhere while on the vestian outpost 2 randoms with same kd as me asked me to do trials with them and although we lost our first match against some really good team( their kd's were above 2.0 only 1 with a lower kd than them) we ended up going on the lighthouse with that same card. we are now playing and inviting each other to play whenever they see me logged in or i see them logged in, we are not the best but its enough to bring victory on matches more often than when i play alone.

1 ReplyI'm a casual, I don't play too much Sometimes I screw around in crucible Sometimes I pound skulls That's how it is
-
1 ReplyI do double carries because I love how bad players react to finally getting that lack luster loot
-
2 RepliesCan't agree more. The few times I've attempted to play trials it's been disastrous for these reasons. This pervasive elitism is a massive turn off - I hold my own fine in most other Crucible game modes but am finding it impossible to get a decent, regular fire team to improve my game and MAYBE get to the Lighthouse at some point. One of the last things on my to do list so am open to any suggestions as to how I might make it happen (without a carry).

I really don't get elo. You can be a super good player but lose a lot because you play with other bad people. I mean it shouldn't matter unless you're a really high up streamer or something
-
3 Replies.99 kd, 30 percent win ratio, and 6 flawlesses. I don't blame those guys, you're not good.

3 RepliesI am on Xbox one and would like to meet some people for trials. I main my warlock and never met cool people to play trials. I play alot of pvp but never got to trials. Also, looking to do Croats End for Crux - Necrocasm.

I can 9-0 every weekend with the right team. I know I'm good enough for smooth 9-0 runs. I used to help people to the light house every weekend.
You've only been flawless 6 times...

Lol. Everyone turns me down since I have no mic, but guess what last weekend found a team and we wrecked and went flaw twice
-
I feel like I have played you before my gt is Blakenbrady. Great story though I hate people who just judge people off Elo.

8 RepliesI avoid Trials like the plague. I rarely play PvP, except IB, and that's just until I hid rank 5, then I'm back to PvE. Last week one of my "friends" asked me if I wanted to do trials. A little background on this 'friend'. I was on a party with a couple actual friends and they were playing with a really good rando. They were singing his praises so much I suggested they friend him. So, he became my friend through them. He seemed cool enough. Then we played trials. When he asked if I wanted to play I gave my usual speech of, "you don't want me on your team," "I suck," "I don't like PvP." His response, "Join." Not a request, an order. I thought, fine, if this guy insists, I'll show him I wasn't joking. I gave him one last warning, then we were off. I tried my best, but we lost the first game. The second game didn't go any better. That's when he started getting testy with me. I cut him short and told him I gave him fair warning, so save the frustration, or I'd be more than happy to let him find a better teammate. After the third loss he rage quit without a thank you or goodbye. I unfriended him because I don't tolerate a-holes in my friends list. He confirmed my perception of trials and trials players.

7 RepliesOr maybe snipers should be nerfed so people actually fight in trials instead of hiding and camping or body shooting and primary. -_-||

Edited by Diamond D Nice: 7/15/2016 1:18:07 AMi tried twice last week to get a trials group together on lfg. nothing. for two hours. on two separate occasions. was gonna be one last trials before the 360 trials get's shut off and i fully stop playing Destiny. yeah it's such a pain in the ass dealing with lfg. i haven't played trials in months and that's why. it's just too much hassle. well and i'm burnt out.

1 ReplyThere are people out there that I have played with, that could probably mop the floor with most of the LFG punks, and they're incredibly humble, good people. I've played and gone to the Lighthouse with some damned nice players that have taught me a LOT about the Crucible. KDR and ELO almost NEVER account for improvement.
-
1 ReplyI played trials of Osiris when I was drunk before, got to the lighthouse with a 1.1 k/d that run. My worst trials k/d run to date lmao ~TheGreatNike
-
People with low elo are good to play with because you can get more elo from carrying them. Anyone who asks for a certain amount for k/d and elo must suck that they need a full team of 1.3 kd +.
-
1 ReplyIt doesn't matter, they'll still go to the lighthouse that week. Lol ~TheGreatNike
