I feel that a lot of the naysayers are blowing the consequences way out of proportion. It's just one tiny change, on a screen no one ever looks at anyways. To me it's not about bragging because strikes are super friggin easy in the first place.
Another thing is to look at the dps of certain weapons over the course of a boss fight. That would be awesome if I could just pull up a strike instead of having to go to golgoroth. Or do all the math myself ;)

That might let me know exactly how shit the players I get stuck doing heroic strikes with are

I like to see numbers like that.

Toxic players will be toxic about anything and everything. I'm in favor of it.

3 RepliesEdited by Crayon Eater: 7/15/2016 1:38:19 PMI play an MMORPG on XB1 called neverwinter and in any boss fight the bosses HP is across the top of your screen at all times (Super helpful and nice to look at) And at the end of the boss fight a window pops up and you can see: Damage dealt, Damage taken and Healing done. Its a very nice and easy way to gauge how the encounter went and if your doing as much damage as you think you are would love to see something like this in destiny would make PvE more interactive. Maybe; Damage done. Orbs Generated Ads Killed That way you can see if someone was focusing on ads and thats why the boss took longer to die or you can see what super gens the most orbs etc etc.

I would like it to happen too. Could not tell you the amount of groups I get into where at the reward screen I see the only thing the two window lickers I was paired with actually shot at was the boss. Makes me so -blam!-ing mad.

1 ReplyI remember when I use to play WoW this being the biggest source of bragging and raging at tge same time. People bragging that they did this much and bitching that someone didn't live up to their standards. I always did my part on DPS tho

8 RepliesJust another reason for the community to be toxic to one another. 'This guy didn't do shit to the boss. Let's back out' LFG for NF 'What's your boss dps avg? Any lower than 123,456,789,101,112 and you're not on my fireteam' Etc.....

I like having a damage meter on my HUD Makes it a little more competitive with the players around you
-
sounds fun, kind of like on the warpriest where you can see damage numbers
-
Well... No. I don't want another stupid elitist stat, let pve remain untouched by that crap. Boss battles are not only about boss dps, but also about ad maintenance.

The naysayers aren't bothering you because it's a big thing. It's because it's a little thing. And there's so many big things that need to be dealt with We end up getting Devs listening to posts like these and assuming this is actually what makes their game work, and it isn't. Help them focus on the current issues at hand, then we can add "tiny little changes" What good is the premium gasoline if the car has no tires you know?
