Ok so there are alot of guardians out there who insist on a quick t-bag after a kill; personally it doesn't bother me but most people I game with rage a little after a bagging. Now how about a wave?
Is this friendly game play or does it come across a little bit smug?
I'm actually that terrible at pvp so I've hardly the ability to notice anyway. It has been a topic of convo in our fireteams; interested to see what others think

1 ReplyI normally laugh at a good bagging, If its a skill based kill. If they get lucky in the kill and teabag, I bag them every time I kill em. As for a wave, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

If anyone finds any non verbal communication disrespectful in any game then it's all over for you, get your coat!
-
1 ReplyTo thumb your nose at anyone is disrespectful. ......If I play any sport against you and beat you I'm not gona stand there point at you and act like and ass..." Johnny sucks at baseball.....".you got the kill, enough was said.
-
1 ReplyIf I kill someone that I happen to know, I wave right after, if only to say "hey!". Happened only twice, ever. Otherwise I don't know if it's an etiquette faux pas or offensive to wave. I saw a video once where waving was a way to notify the other team that you will not be picking up the heavy ammo, if they wave back then no one picks up the heavy.

2 RepliesIf someone gets a good kill on me, I wave upon respawn as a way to show respect. The only disrespectful emote I use is facepalm. When they enter my bubble and die or if I suppress their super with a grenade as soon as they activate it. And that's usually only I they were already being douches.

I bow!

Me when I finally kill the camper.

1 ReplyI think sticking someone with a grenade then waving before they die is, classy, clever, and respectful .
-
I think it would be good if you're sniping as you're not going to get to them in time to t-bag them.
-
2 RepliesNo that's not bad. I don't do anything that often but when revenge or whatever is too sweet I dance on their corpse, is that worse?
-
2 RepliesOn the rare occasion that I shut down something that should have killed me, I toss them some jazz hands Throwing knife kill mid shoulder charge? Jazz hands Fusion rifle a blade dancer? Jazz hands Kill a sniper with a scout? Jazz hands Shut down fist of havoc? Jazz hands
-
1 ReplyI jazz hands when I stick someone with a trip mine ( pre nerf ). Also jazz hand when I kill a rushing shotgun or shoulder charge with a throwing knife. I offended a lot of people.
-
1 ReplyI only do that after a filthy snipe kill.
-
Nope I do it when I hit a really good drag snipe on someone before they get around the corner. Or if I beat 2 snipers by myself.

I think there should be a grind emote. That way when you kill someone you can stand over their orb and grind them

Edited by reegeee: 7/13/2016 10:53:34 AMI've always wondered that, to me it's a sign of respect. I'll wave when I kill someone who has outplayed me a few times or if I kill someone by some bullshit like their shotgun clearly not registering etc. Also, if someone falls off the map when they're fighting you. Has to be done. One thing though, and this is stupid but I think it's true, if you break the animation and carry on about your business that's respectful, but if you go through the entire animation that's taking the piss.
-
I'll bag a teammate if I see him bagging others.
-
Its like saying i got ya while u were trying to slide shotgun mid super.....ect offensive hell no
-
No now stfu crying noob
-
I like to use the 'safe' emote on shotgun sliders I buzz with plan c.. had a couple of lol messages but no hatemail 😊
-
Heck no, I'll wave or slap my forehead sometimes after getting a kill.

1 ReplyEdited by X-factor1984: 7/13/2016 10:14:48 AMIf you get offended by anything in a game you are the one who needs to grow up. It's a game it's not gonna hurt you in real life. Get over yourselves people
