1 ReplyBump. I agree I never have liked sniping, not that great at it. I could probably git gud at it as some would say, but I just don't enjoy even trying. I find the tactics that must be used to PROPERLY snipe people are extremely boring and repetitive when it comes to engagements.

I never had any issues w/ sniping in PvP. Ever. Then about a week ago, I see a few posts here complaining about sniping in PvP. I thought to myself "WTF, how can you complain about something that's barely used? Snipers are not a big deal". But since then, I swear I have ran into more snipers in PvP in the last week than I have since I've gotten the game. The meta seemed to change very rapidly, and yeah snipers are "it" right now. And it sucks haha.

5 RepliesI don't mind the sniping, but I like to snipe. I also haven't noticed that many more snipers than shotgun rushers and shoulder chargers. I definitely think they need to bring HoW era shotgun performance back to make people actually choose whether to use a shotgun or sniper (and also a slight buff for FR's, or change them back to how they were when Vanilla first dropped and they were so devastating). Some people will never put down their snipers and so long as we can select what weapons we want to take into the crucible, this is likely how crucible will be in the future.

If Bungie truly wants snipers "to be a long range option as intended" as they have said, then they'll do a hard range cut off where snipers won't fire under ________ (fill in the blank meters). The exact reverse of every other gun in the game, which falls off at greater distance. Problem solved. I know this game is space magic and in no way a reflection of what happens with firearms in real life......but for cryin out loud nobody shoots enemies at 15 yds with sniper rifles with anything that even remotely resembles regularity.

Oh c'mon. That's totally what they intended. I mean seriously why use a -blam!-ing primary? This is exactly why I don't listen to a thing they say when they release "balance" patches. Bungie is full of shit when it comes to weapon balancing, tweaking, whatever word they choose to try and use. They need to have generic sets of weapons for the crucible. Thats the only way it will ever be balanced. Period. The same autos, snipers, shottys, whatevers for all. They've shown over and over they'll lie about weapon "tuning" and they'll lie about matchmaking settings. They can't be trusted.

I don't mind getting snipe from up close. It's not easy to do. I wouldn't want to take away from a skilled sniper. But a skilled sniper should have no problem with a little Stagger, sway , & actually having to put the scope up to their face before shooting.

I take it as a challenge to flank a sniper and ram my overnerfed shotty down their throats. It's quite satisfying.

2 RepliesThe constant hardscoping around every corner and then when you do get a few shots in them they still blow your head off even while being shot is getting really old add more flinch or descope when being shot or damn they could even add a snipers playlist that might help alittle . I still continue to play but PVP is getting less fun to play every week for me .

Yeah I'll agree with you on that doesn't matter what game mode there are always at least 3 snipers on the enemy team and they aren't just hard scoping anymore they will engage in cqc with a sniper if it isn't a head shot it's a quick hot swap to their primary with a high fire rate for the quick clean up (doctrine, grasp, hawksaw pdx) not saying that those weapons are OP but the 1 body shot swap primary method is obnoxious, dirty, sleazy, and one of the grimiest tactics in the game. I'd much rather be blasted off my feet with a felwinters

6 RepliesYeah, just not seeing this at all. Most games are still dominated by shotgun rushers. Idk, maybe stop running around corners full speed or charging strait down a long hallway going for that epic shoulder charge... If I die to a sniper shot, I know I fuked up, not the guy with the long gun.

if snipers descope when hit, can't scope when landing/stop running for 0.5-1 seconds it would solve 99% of the problems. If someone is hardscoping a corner with a sniper and you run round it you would die in any game.

They need to restrict the game to having primaries only in normal crucible. No heavies. No specials. It will always force players to play only with weapons they normally CAN'T use. Or just make playlists for those who want to only play with primaries only, while others include specials/heavy/etc.

Create an exotic helmet for each class that requires 2 head shots and some extra perk TBD.....the catch, you cannot equip a sniper rifle with said helmet equipped. Maybe the extra perk increase's your primaries range/accuracy by 5 -10%? Edit PS: For me personally, I would like one for shot gunners.

2 RepliesI haven't touched the Crucible in weeks. If I want to play PvP, I put in Halo 5. The way the PvP side of the game stands right now, it's just unplayable to me.

3 RepliesIt's getting old fast. Put it simply, you want to do well in Trials, be good at sniping. I just don't understand why I can fire constant headshots with a scout rifle at a sniper and still get sniped in the head every -blam!-ing time. Where's the -blam!-ing flinch?!
