Why throwing knife should not 1 shot! (If Bungie buffs Throwing Knife)
I have 2 reasons why It should not.
1. It's a melee. (DUH)
No other melee 1 shots so why should the Throwing Knife 1 shot? What makes the Throwing Knife so special? From other melees?
2. It would not be fair.
Like i said no other Subclass/Melee can 1 shot. So the Titans and Warlocks are not going to be happy. And there would be a LOT of talk about balance and the community would be in a mess.
"DISCLAIMER" This is NOT a hate post. I'm not trying to spread hate to anything or anyone. So please no hate..

What they rlly need to fix is the whole slide, shotgun, shoulder charge, that all happens before human reflexes kick in....

What I don't like is other comments where its <class> has this ability and this ability. Dudes not all Warlocks get an Over shield. Not all titans have a Charge-to- execute attack. Know your subclasses peeps.

I think it should count as a knife kill if you hit someone with it and they die from the burn.

I'm a Titan main... and think they [b][i]should[/i][/b] one shot to the head. It's harder to get a throwing knife hit than to punch / stab / magic slap someone.

All these people below are stupid. The perks and Melees are just different enough that you can't compare them. Throwing knife vs shoulder charge? One fills a melee slots but is not actually a melee. One is a perk but acts like a melee. One can be thrown from any distance but ultimately is used and most effective just outside of shotgun/melee range. One cannot be used in panic. You can't really compare shoulder to knives. What you should compare it to is the melee slot of most classes. Which are like arc blade. A strong melee. Now throwing knives are harder to hit because of the distance, which means they should do more damage. But at the same time. If you practice with the knives. You notice they have a large hit box and a skill thrower can basically run around getting headshots at any distance besides long rage. In this case a shoulder charger can run around and use shoulder charge the same as he would use a shotgun while rushing. What they need to do to balance it, is raise damage and skill to use knives. Reward a precision knife with a kill, same damage as shoulder, but greatly reduce hit box around head for knife.

It should one shot, in the head. Gettin a knife thrown into your head should kill you. It takes skill and they're deserved kills. I've never been annoyed at gettin killed with a throwin knife Signed, Warlock main

So many people cry about the shoulder charge, yes its 1 hit kill but lets not forget the ability to shoulder charge disappears after several seconds of running (few more with stand asides equipped) U cant run directly towards a player to shoulder charge or ur dead before u charge, 9/10 shoulder charge kills will be lucky timing hits running round a corner and bumping into someone etc or coming up behind someone. Yes its 1 hit kill but unlike knife u cant just activate shoulder charge as soon as u see an enemy

7 RepliesWarlock is is the only class with no 1-hit kill melee, Titans- shoulder charge 1-hit Hunters- throwing knife 1-hit All warlock melees- 2-hits I will say this, throwing knifes only 1-hit if it gets you in the head but hunters only get your head or they completely miss but the shoulder charge is 1-hit no matter what.

Shoulder Charge is a melee and that one hit kills. And before you say it isn't a melee, when you get kills with it you get melee bonus and it shows up as melee when you look at your stats. The game itself registers it as a melee.
