How did my guardian lose his voice?
It would seem to me that its just a lack of resources or change in direction or the unavailability of voice actors but i think there is lore behind it. We know that dying and ressing is canon and that ghost can do it whenever but what if ghost can alter your motives and mondset from resurrection. It would explain why your guardian jist goes with everything and never asks questions. What if ghost took away your ability to speak after countless resurrections?

It makes sense in this game to have them not have their own voice and personality. In a (very nerdy) way, that's you in that armor, not just some random character. That's just my opinion, though. I actually kind of like the lack of story too. As more story is added, it pushes things forward, but the journey of playing the game, finding gear, meeting new people, etc, etc, seems to feel more epic ("epic" in the narrative sense, not "epic" the slang term). I know most don't feel that way. That's how I've always felt about it, though.

The only one that comes to mind is the black garden when your ghost asks if you can kill a god and you say you have no choice. Now that I stop to think about it that might actually be the only time.

Wondered this myself, same for the ghost in dark below and HoW, figured it was just because bungie couldnt reach dinklage (same reason he's not the ghost now I think) Has to be because bungo couldnt, or wouldnt rehire the voice actors for some reason
