Give Destiny pvp to 343 Industries and I bet you they'd remove sbmm from the communties request and also add in features.
Seriously Bungie to this day since SRL hasn't removed sbmm.
Tryarch I apologize if I chopped the name badly, added sbmm. The community responded and asked to remove it, and they did as soon as they could.
Bungie does it, community asks Bungie to remove it, said ok we will have a test week of with sbmm, without sbmm.
(Remember that glorious week)
Then Bungie desides to keep it. And Destiny is another game published by Activision, and Activision also owns the COD series. Why when Tryarch listened they removed sbmm but when Bungie does it they could care less about the community. They want the crucible to be 'competitive'.
I actually want Bungie, to give the game to 343 industries or Tryarch, and ask them to add features and fix it by adding ranked playlists and and quick matches or skilled matches.
And I bet you 343 or Tryarch would do a better job guarantee. The guys at Bungie are definitely interns and most of the real Bungie employees have all moved on to 343 Industries and for good reason. At least 343 Industries listen to the fans on what to improve on the pvp field. Same goes for Overwatch and Blizzard. Bungie needs to take community lessons 101 class again because they lost all that.

You do know halo 5 failed in the long run right? It was bought due to name... played due to nostalgia.. and only pops up on twitch top 10 if a big streamer gets an occasional itch.. not even league matches boost it much. So 343 isn't doing that well

Pretty sure if you give destiny to anyone they will do a better job with it than bungie has. Through destiny, bungie has proven utter proficiency in incompetence time and time again. To be fair, that is quite a feat.

Agreed about Black OPS 3 and Treyarch. When they added in skill based match making it broke the experience like it has with Destiny. The community responded and in only 4 days Treyarch apologized to us and reverted it to connection based. Black OPS plays great now, and is still where I personally go to have just plain PvP fun, and great sweats. There is a reason why, Treyarch is the golden child of Activision and Bungie is the bastard. Treyarch puts the the entertainment and joy of thier player base before thier egos unlike @Bungie

21 RepliesRemoving SBMM is a very bad idea from a "developper" stand point. Let me explain. Let's say we split the community into three main groups: 1-Below average, 2-Average, 3-Above average. Without SBMM group 1, 2 and 3 are having relatively inconsistent experiences in PVP. However(obviously) group 3 is doing pretty well for most of their games. Group 2 has a mixture of good and bad games. However, group 1 will get pretty consistently f*cked up. Consequently, group 1 will have a much worst and less fun experience in PVP. So, chances are group 1 won't want to play crucible. Of course their is still PVE. But honestly, their isn't much in that department. So in the end group 1 will just pick up another game. Less players->less attention->less sales->less money. With that being said. I do think the current SBMM system is a bit flawed and really doesn't reward the top players. What if there was a tier system in the game where players in higher tiers get exclusive emblems/shaders and exclusive variations of the current crucible weapons(kind of like the lighthouse ToO weapons). Anyway, just a thought. I just want to finish this post by saying you're not the only person in the crucible. Everyone wants a fair shot *drops mic*. I'm out.

3 RepliesI don't necessarily agree with a lot of the decisions bungie has made in regards to the crucible, but I would definitely rather have them than 343. 343 has ruined the Halo franchise, in my opinion.
