So since i started playing this game again (after a few months break) i come across a lot of players with a grimoire just over 3300. now im wondering are those new players or old veterans playing again since the "Rise of Iron" dlc announcement?
EDIT: Yes i know i forgot the "Alpha Veteran" option just vote as a "beta vet" as it is almost the same (pre-release test environment)
I'm a day 1 player
11 RepliesI am a true veteran ( U.S. Army 97-05 ). I can appreciate the time you put into the game, hell I've been with Destiny a little while. However, to call one a "Veteran" in regards to anything other than military service carries no merit ( in my opinion ). Old School, Old Dog, Grumpy Old Guardians aka as "G.O.G.S.", or whatever. Once again, this is my own opinion and everyone is entitled to their own. There are many like it, but this one is mine. See you down range guardians.......

I'm a Year 2 player, but didn't get the game until about 4-5 months ago.

I started playing around House of Wolves probably.

1 ReplyYou do you realize that being a veteran just means having been around for more time. Doesn't say anything about skill, etc. It's like all the grandpas start saying: Hey look! I came into this world before you, I'm a veteran!

Beta player, missed the alpha by a day due to a trip but meh. My grimoire is maxed (5020 on ps4) but the actual score of other folk doesn't matter much. Some people only play certain parts of the game or don't bother going after ghosts and fragments. The only time I look at grimoire is when I start having trouble with supposedly seasoned raiders that start failing, then I check their raid completion card, usually seeing they lied through their teeth.

Played beta on the 360, all the way through the first few weeks of year two then moved over to PS4. Just picked it up again when I saw the rise of iron announcement. The grind has been real

I'm going to say beta because I downloaded it and went on a camp trip, came back and beta was over. If y'all don't want to call me that then I'm a day 2 player because the servers sucked ass first day, couldn't get past the opening cinematic

Well i remember when we only had 5 bounty slots, and when my first 3 legendary engrams were for a -blam!-ing titan! i didn't even have one then

3 RepliesMy playtime is a bit complicated. I started Christmas Y1, played for a few days, the lost interest, thanks to PC gaming, for a while anyways. About a day or two after TTK, a friend got me back into the swing of things, and I've been a faithful ever since. Call me some sort of Y1/2 hybrid.

Halo 3 vet, switched to ps

1 ReplyBut, real veterans need to have been on this forum way before Halo Reach. According to the offtopies And even more real Veterans had to serve in any nations armed forces for an x amount of times, and must be retired.

I played day one, but I never really played that much in year one. I had no idea what raids where so I never did that. I never got house of wolves until TTK.
