Snipers RUIN Trials of Osiris

They literally take away all the fast paced gameplay. You can't even walk around corners without the fear of being hardscoped, because a hardscoper is waiting for you. Those easy hardscoping 1HK shots don't make you skilled. They tell us you can only use a sniper to win.

  • I think the only change would be that when a sniper is hard-scoped a primary should deal some sort of flinch so you at least have a chance to make their shot not land perfectly.

    • Not all snipers do. The kind(s) that ruin trials are double body shotters or the players who shoot you once with their sniper then finish you

        No they do make you skilled because every player can't snipe at the same level. I'm a good sniper but that doesn't mean I can't shotgun either. If anything they should have a sway. The crucible will be more fast paced, but the good players will be good. O matter what

          • I agree, for trials you should spawn with zero special, you get killed by more snipers than anything. It's stupid how the game is supposed to be competitive yet having competent snipers is the number one factor in determining whether you win or lose. 95% of matches begin with a hardscope standoff, snipers affect the flow of the gameplay way too much and they're too powerful to simply spawn with ammo in the beginning of a match. I'd love it if they were treated like heavy, start with no special ammo and lose it if you die. It'd make trials more accessible to those who choose not to run long bows and 1kys

            There's your issue, don't walk around a corner, jump and slide and move quickly, if you want fast paced gameplay, make it happen, rush, make them panic, be aggressive, or walk slowly around a corner into my sniper lane and get domed, your choice

              • I don't think it's necessarily snipers. I think the fact that you can't respawn if you die, so people play more passive and snipers cater to that style.

                • Don't blame snipers for what nerfing has done to this game. Things are slow paced because primaries & shotguns are much weaker then they were prior to December.

                  • I'm kinda half way on this. It depends on the map more than anything else. Pantheon is the worst, while some of the hive based maps and non symmetrical maps aren't as bad. Heck even blind watch this week wasn't AWFUL you could run around and flank the snipers, and if you spawned on the right side (from looking at zone B from the bottom heavy ammo spot) you had a HUGE advantage to sit back and snipe because the other team had to come to you. ~~[i]Dinklebot[/i]
