Should Shot-Package be brought back?
Ah yes, shotpackage. The controversial perk that's name strikes fear into the heart of its enemies. Right now, there aren't as many guardians running around with a shotgun as there are guardians hardscoping every corner. My point is, if a god roll sniper drops for you, you are better off using that than a shotgun in this meta. That's why adding shotpackage back might be a good way of sniper control for crucible. Shotpackage shouldn't be only for shotguns though. If Bungie does bring the perk back, it should be roll-able on fusion rifles too, to make sure there are a balanced amount of users running rampant with a shotgun.

Edit #1: Guys, remember, [i][b]shotpackage on fusion rifles.[/b][/i] You guys are focusing on the shotguns mainly. It would make the projectile spread tighter, making shots [i]really[/i] easy to register.
Edit #2: Holy crap, went to go see Finding Dory, turned my phone back on and it blew up with notifications.
Edit #3: Just went against a 5 man fireteam of skating Titans with Universal Remote, and one of them messaged me, "Thank you, for dedicating to our cause."

I mostly use fusions, but I still wouldn't want it back. Getting kills is way too easy with a perk like that. For shotguns, it makes them far too powerful. Crucible just becomes annoying with stuff like that around.

How could it be brought back without dominating PvP? Which was the very reason it got removed to start with? It basically translated to "make your shotgun better". More pellets on target = more kills. Fact. There was really no way for the perk to exist without being an automatic pick for any shotgun. The same case would apply to Fusion Rifles.

I too feel that Shot Package should be brought back in some way. But I'm surprised so many people agree. I thought I'd hear nothing but salt against the poster, but I was proven wrong. Top quality discussions I'm seeing from some of you. Good work Guardians.

Yes it should. Shotguns were already nerfed so much since 2.0 (every single patch), lost all that range and handling (gaining almost nothing in PvE). Shot package should return. It would make shotguns consistent again. Over-nerfing shotguns and primaries is what caused the sniper meta, bringing them back to pre-2.0 status would be a good step towards a more diverse meta.

Yes, they are so inconsistent while snipers still have their aim assist, hidden hand, etc. Keep in mind I'm 50 / 50 when it comes to shotgunning and sniping

1 ReplyShot package/tighter pellet grouping should be added to universal remotes exotic perk. It would make it feel more exotic if it was the only shotgun that has tighter pellet grouping when ads.

I also think side arms could use a buff when the player can sprint and fire their sidearm at the same time. Fusion rifles need a buff in one way or another so they're also more in line with snipers

Yes definitely. You won't know how many times I've shot someone at a decent range with my party crasher thinking I got the kill when in fact they live with a sliver of health..

I honestly think that both FR and shotguns are in a good spot right now, have no problem getting kills with either of them.

All secondary weapons are fine as they are it's the amount of ammo in pvp that's an issue.

No, it was a must have perk on every max range shotgun. More diversity is better imo.

Yes that way all these wanna be snipers can go back to shotguns. This was the reason why I was against the shotgun nerf.
