NOTE: Please read the edits, they have important information. Especially Edit 3.
When a person reaches the age of 18, they acquire the maturity "gene"-something that, obviously, children lack.
The fee should be $10-children on an T rated game are an absolute nuisance-they're always bugging you around and assume that they're "funny" or "cool".
Then again, there are the 12 year olds who claim that they are, in fact, mature. However, this is impossible. I have yet to observe a child that lacked maniacal behavior.
So, Bungie, I ask that you place a fee so these crackheads won't intoxicate Destiny.
EDIT 1: It's absolutely amazing to see the children claim that they're better than adults.
EDIT 2: Woah, calm down, people. I know this may be a little triggering to some of you, but if you're trying to prove that people under the age of 18 are mature, than at least act like it.
EDIT 3: It's not the idea that it's M rated (which it isn't), it's the idea that everyone under the age of 18 isn't mature-just a nuisance.
EDIT 4: "Every kid on these games who is middle school aged has always:
Had an annoying voice
Made idiotic comments thinking there are funny
Act superior to everyone else in the raid
Say they are a master of everything yet make obvious mistakes
Consistently use words like 'pussy', '-blam!-', and other words just to 'sound cool'
Don't take anything seriously
Are all in all annoying and a nuisance"
EDIT 5: Some people have been asking, "How would you be able to identify the player as a child?" Well, for one, we can use what age they put into their account. But of course, many people lie about their age, so we can also use voice samples to identify them as a child. The best method is by far using the Kinect camera (And whatever PlayStation uses) to see the player.

Age doesn't matter in my opinion. It comes down to maturity level. I've teamed up with players that are under 18 that act like adults and I've teamed up with older players that act like they are 10

1 ReplyI'm 16 and I'm probably going to be the most respectful teenager you're ever gonna meet online. The only times I get mad are when lag kills me or when I get into dumb arguments with idiots making weird noises. And team killing (I play some Rainbow 6 Siege and I absolutely hate team killing)

We all paid a fee. 59.99USD. So shhhh

4 RepliesJust mute or don't play with any young or immature people, but to make people pay extra money because they were born in a certain year is silly. I understand where you're coming from because most of the people who cry out for nerfs or for changes are kids, but bungie should be able to tell if something truly needs to be changed or not. That's just my opinion though and you can send me hate or disagree with me, I don't care either way. This all comes from a 16 year old.

so all of these additions, just so you can have it the way you want. Really?

Interesting.

So...a "subscription fee" for those who aren't "legal" yet, that's my interpretation of this. -_- Um...I gotta say it sounds interesting, but not really such a good idea in hindsight. Some (id say about 20-25%) of the players left in Destiny right now are probably under 18. That's my guess. I bet at least more than half of them would quit if they saw this happening. Losing that much of a percentage of players would cost them more money than they would make off of the subscription fee. And honestly, I still want to able to play Destiny with my 17 year old cousin without having him paying a monetary fee every once and a while. Yeah he can be annoying at times, but we have fun playing Destiny together. We want to have fun, not throw money at Bungie every month or year to be able to play. In short, this is a bad idea and I'm saying no.

2 RepliesEdited by btorbs: 6/20/2016 1:22:37 AM>generalizes and dislikes people under 18 and calls them all immature >posts Spider-Man memes >??? The game was rated T for Teen, which means 13+. Stop complaining and let people enjoy the game Edit: You claim all people under 18 are immature, when I've come across adults who act like little babies. I know most middle schoolers can be a bit annoying, but stop generalizing because it makes you look like an ignorant idiot

Actually the cortex isn't fully developed until around 21 years old

2 Repliesgr8 b8 m8. But honestly, I have seen adults cause more drama than a baby on a plane going to Australia. I agree that kids can be more annoying and drama prone, but no point in making them pay a fee. Plus, how will you verify that they aren't 18+?

7 RepliesEdited by Neytir: 6/20/2016 12:12:22 AMThe voice sampling thing would work on the whole, but overall there would be people who are adults that the voice sampler would consider to be children/teenagers. I know people over 18 who honestly sound like they are 14. In the same hand, there would be children/teenagers who the voice sampler would consider to be adults. I myself am 17, and have been told that I sound at least over 20. While the idea of having a fee for people under 18 may seem like a good idea, I think there are main 2 reasons that it isn't a very good idea. 1.) The game is rated Teen. If I'm right, that means the ESRB (That might be wrong) has deemed the game alright for people 13+ to play. So, of the ESRB has deemed the game okay to play for that age group, why should they have to pay a fee for being under 18? Now if the game were rated Mature, it would be a different story. 2.) It would be a large turnoff to people who would have to pay that fee, especially of they are already paying for XBL Gold or PS+. This is more a reason that they wouldn't implement the fee. If they implement it, while the fee might increase revenue, on the whole most of the people affected by the fee would probably just not buy Destiny to begin with.
Sorry for the wall of text, by the way.
You can take all the kids off this game and it will still be toxic. Every game has it's own toxic players

Dude. I've gamed with Adults who act more immature than those use 18. I let a 12 year old into my Hard Oryx raid 2 weeks ago and he Stomped Everything and was a Better team player than I Usually am. ...

First you say "Under 18", then follow up by saying "Middle school aged".these are very different groups, because while middle schoolers match your description, not all people under 18 do. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to say kids under 15, rather than 18, because people don't just magically become mature at 18, it is a gradual growth to maturity, usually starting late in high school, around 16 or 17, depending on the person.

my nephews are more mature than people I run into on any game...

14 RepliesYeah charge kids that can't afford a fee, amazing idea.
you're an idiot by the way
