Shoulder Charge is not the Problem. You are.
I'm seeing wayyy too many posts calling out the dreaded Shoulder Charge.
"It's OP!"
"Throwing Knife got nerfed so should Shoulder Charge!"
"It rewards you for running!"
It's not OP in the slightest. If you let a Titan come at you full speed when you have a State of the Art, Handy Dandy thing called a Radar you deserved to be knee'd in the face.
There are plenty of counters to Shoulder Charge let's list some:
Primaries
Secondaries
Heavy Weapons
Grenades
Melee
Supers
Teamwork
Agile Movement
Running away
Wow looks like pretty much anything will stop it.
All in all Shoulder Charge is fine. No need to nerf it.

Takes guts, and a stubborn willingness to play in a manner many could consider reckless, but for me at least, it has been the easiest subclass to amass kills with. Like, by far.[/spoiler] Which means a lot of people probably use it, especially now with the endless nerfs to everything else. We all know by now how Bungie goes about "adjusting" elements of the game providing [i]too much fun.[/i]

2 RepliesI got destroyed today by a Titan Skating, Shoulder Charging, Shotgunning Titan. Most annoying guy I've ever played against in my 430+ hours of crucible. Shoulder Charge wasn't the problem. It was that stupid titan skating. I couldn't run away from his shoulder charge and when he missed, he pulled out his shotty and annihilated me. He'd titan skate high above me so that it'd be extremely hard to hit him and I couldn't hit him with my throwing knife. When I did it didn't even do enough damage to kill him. Also, what really annoyed me is that I kept missing throwing knifes because apparently you can slide and Shoulder Charge.

I have to admit that there is nothing I despise more in this game than a Titan who literally spends the whole game shoulder charging. PS- There should be a reuse on it.

I agree but it's too late man, it's gonna get nerfed. Bungie nor the community will stop until everything is reduced to nothing.

Shoulder charge needs a distance nerf 50%-66% reduction of distance traveled while charging

12 RepliesIt's butthurt hunters not realising this was a long time coming. They have had a glitched backstab for over a year and now they want to pussyache about nerfs after being the loudest nerfer group in destiny history calling for nerfs to guns grenades subclasses and just about everything but themselves. Now they are mad about their melee and want to lash out again in typical fashion. Notice none of the things that are used as examples of how unfair shoulder charge is are coming from a warlocks perspective? Yeah.

I need to apologize to my fellow Titans. I just got a whole one kill with shoulder charge in my last match....the way things have been going I'm sure he'll be here to complain about it any moment. Thing is.....he was just standing there trying to pick up a special ammo crate...and I couldn't help myself. Even when he stared at me, unmoving....for a couple seconds, with a pleading look on his face....I just couldn't help myself.

I play all there characters. Hunters ohk front was Op. All the glitches were Op. Subclass Op. Shoulder charge is not. You suck if you get killed by one. It means you are not paying attention. Bottom line if you guys didn't bitch about sunbreaker Titans would not have all went back to striker. Thx yourselves.

If you don't notice a Titan running in crucible, then you need to go to Specsavers. If you really can't see a guy gunning it in your general direction like that, then you are the problem. Hunters have been playing the same way for almost 2 years now which is 'nerf everything else', hunters are prone to nerfs as well and it was only a matter of time. All in all you're allowed to have so much power in an ability as long as the charge up for that ability outs you at a weaker state, case in point, if I'm running to get my shoulder charge then I quickly running around in front of cover with no means to retaliate if fired upon.

Shoulder charge is a pain in the ass bit I'd rather see an end to getting storm tranced from literally as far away as possible on the map.

You got the head of the hunters Triplewreck, Luminosity, and Sc_Slayerage orchestrating all these cries for nerfs and hatred towards anything useful for Titans and Warlocks. Don't believe me? Check out Luminosity's stream, anytime he gets killed by thunderstrike or uses thunderstrike, him and TW will be the first to complain about how warlocks don't deserve extra range on their melee, EVEN THOUGH two hunter subclasses have melee PROJECTILES. Why are they so backwards? I was just watching Luminosity's stream last night and that's all TW did: complain about arc warlocks' "broken" melee. So pathetic. It didn't help our plight either, given that Luminosity had almost 1k viewers watching too. Sc_Slayerage bred hate in the hearts of anybody that watched his Crimson doubles streams back in February towards firebolts. I can't even make this sh*t up, the dude has a cult-following in Destiny and he used his status to program people to begin hating firebolts. Well look at em now. Nerfed and now utterly useless in terms of pvp. If you want change, speak up on twitch. Become a streamer even, and prove your point why Titans or Warlocks aren't broken, because as long as we keep our voices quiet, the ones who pretty much have direct influence over the player base will continue to influence hate towards other subclass abilities. If you see people bullying your subclass, then SPEAK TF UP!

Blade dancer is one of the biggest bs, don't have to try because the auto aim plays for you, supers in this game and yet people constantly defend that pos. I don't usually run a Titan in PVP, but I have killed plenty who were shoulder charging me, so all of the nerf babies seriously need to stfu.

Funny how childish minds are still defending poor decisions made on Bungies part, to still belittle and poke at a specific subclass just to make themselves feel better. Even after the majority of T1 players who stream and make YouTube content are basically all saying the same thing, which is a unanimous "why?". Gunslingers were scrapped in PvP for no reason. People just love to jump on a milk crate and verbally stick their tongue out at anyone who suffers as long as it's not them. Because people are lame. And the majority of the time so are these forums. I can't believe this thread is still alive. Shoulder charge isn't o.p. It's just straight up dumb. End of story.

2 RepliesYour right, titans deserve a 1 hit kill that no one else has. It should be cut in half on damage and do the same as a mele hit. No one else has a 1 hit kill thats not a super.

Also when I actually use my shoulder charge (which is pretty rare ) all my kills are airborn be cause they jump trying to avoid when I always jump before I shoulder just for a little bit of range

I saw the title of the post and thought so true there are 2 many hunter squeakers that get killed by shoulder charge then whine about on the forums
