Who else never bothered to get an exotic sword?
I can't be the only one. Don't like swords and I don't feel like spending the hours finding the materials for the one part.
EDIT: Are there any shortcuts to do the two others if I actually manage to get one?
Update: After reading some helpful tips from the community, I managed to gather the rare materials I needed to complete that step in an hour, so today I'll get to run the strike and get my raze lighter and try it out.
Update 2: I got the raze-lighter! Used it while running relic on Oryx last night to take out the vessel...it's pretty beast. Once mayhem rolls around again I'll probably work on the ability kills for the others.

Is this a post asking for help? I'm down to help you burn down some of the steps, especially the Strike or even PvP. K/D means nothing to me so I can either feed you a kill in Rumble or weaken the other teams so you can hilt smash them. Tracking on my Hunter for mats if you need that too. I'm pretty much done with everything but Grimoire until RoI anyways.

Got the dark drinker pure luck imo first attempt with randos and no mics its ok but didnt bother attempting grabbing the other 2, the legendary swords are just fine.

1 ReplyTo anyone who hasn't or is thinking of doing there first. Make sure it's the raze lighter if you play pve, or bolt caster for pvp.

No shortcuts that I know of, sorry. Good news, though, once you unlock one, you can give it to all three of your Guardians quite easily. My hunter and titan both have Dark-Drinker.

Haha That sucks for you. Solar sword is so strong in PvE for some situations.

1 ReplyGood tip for the crucible kills Get a buddy to knock down shields and melee them with the hilt, it will still count Or do free for all I know at least classic you can still have a fire team but I don't know the max

And I had to buy every blue Ghost from the speaker because I do not have relentless tracking on my Titan. It took me merely a week to get them all done. How did I make it alive you may ask? I listened to some good music and just had fun.

The material grind is bullshît but the raze lighter is worth it, it's brutal.

They are so much fun to use. I finally grinded out my last one the other day. Bolt castor is probably my favorite. I use Live by the sword paired with skyburners annex and it's an orb machine. It makes .7 orbs per kill. Pretty insane.

i felt the same way as you. I didn't really want them. couldn't be bothered to do the farming for materials. but i broke down one day and did the quest for Raze Lighter. ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. that thing is amazing. almost makes it too easy.

Mines been at kill majors & guardians since I got the legendary solar sword back in September. Never bothered to finish that step and I'm not losing sleep for not finishing it either besides dreadfang's fun to swing anyway
