Who else never bothered to get an exotic sword?
I can't be the only one. Don't like swords and I don't feel like spending the hours finding the materials for the one part.
EDIT: Are there any shortcuts to do the two others if I actually manage to get one?
Update: After reading some helpful tips from the community, I managed to gather the rare materials I needed to complete that step in an hour, so today I'll get to run the strike and get my raze lighter and try it out.
Update 2: I got the raze-lighter! Used it while running relic on Oryx last night to take out the vessel...it's pretty beast. Once mayhem rolls around again I'll probably work on the ability kills for the others.

Once you complete the first sword quest, you can than start the other two without having to get major and crucible kills, in which you'll go straight to collecting materials and getting ability kills. you still however, have to max out the perks and get the light level over 290 or so before starting the quest. Keep in mind that the character you completed the previous sword quest with must be with the same charater to start the other two quest, in which you can buy the swords from Lord Shaxx. Hope this helps...

2 RepliesGot all 3 Exotics, so worth it, so fun. Good luck on the strike, it has matchmaking so watch out for a random killing your Knight. Read so many posts about ppl doing that strike and have someone screw them out of the sword they need. Form your own Fireteam is what I would recommend.

Exotic swords are boss. Just used raze lighter to farm omnigul nightfall. Get an exotic sword, now.

1 ReplyGot all 3. Good for you making the grind to get 1 now, they are very fun to use in certain situations, useless in others. I suggest going for all 3, they all have their own moments to shine.

Got all 3 on each of my characters. Fun to pull them out every once in a while and slaughter enemies.

I would highly highly HIGHLY recommend them. All 3 of them are absolutely insane!

The raze lighter. You will enjoy it. Kills tough enemies quick. It truly deserves to be a heavy.

Saw how useful raze lighter is, so I finally caved and finished that damn quest. I didn't finish the post, but for the crucible kills if you or anyone is struggling there; either mayhem or inferno anything when they are the daily/weekly game types. Our just suffer through a few matches with the hilt and get lucky.

Edited by What I Look Like: 6/16/2016 12:50:14 AMHad Dark Drinker for a while, got Raze Lighter this morning. Both are very worth it, and I've got arc lined up and ready to finish at any time. There were others mat grinding when I was doing that, too. We ended up staying in one spawn area and running laps in opposite directions , it was like synchronized swimming, only with a shitload of solar explosions. Also, you may have to wait til next Wednesday.

I passed the crucible stage but i cant stop yawning gathering materials so why bother ..i use the legendary sword only for a couple of things.

I've been working on getting one, I can't seem the get the kills within 30 seconds though. I thought for sure I did a bunch of time but it must have been 31 or 32 seconds cuz nope, didn't get my sword.

Oh man you are missing out! Bolt caster is my least favorite, but raze lighter and dark drinker are dps monsters! Wanna kill those stupid flayers fast? Pick either of the last two mentioned and its done in seconds.
