Black Gjallarhorn is a questline.....Calm down
The fine print on the preorder bonus says the Black Gjallarhorn is locked behind a locked questline. By pre-ordering, you unlock the questline from day 1. More than likely it is a timed gate like other exotics. The quest will unlock for the ones that didn't preorder at a later date.

No it's not the Black (Iron) Gally is a pre-order bonus, the white Gally the is the one you get from the quest were we "forge" it. [spoiler] And it's probably only gonna be just a re skin with no special proprieties [/spoiler]

Watched some of the twitch last night. Iirc. The guy said preorder will yield the black gally. Quest line will not be black. Either way. I already ordered. 102 days to DL

Question here is who on here was not going to preorder anyways ? I am 99% sure I will preorder even if you won't get anything awesome. As I think most of us will, the black skin for the ghorn isn't a bait but simply a nice bonus.

All that was stated was that everyone can get the gjallerhorn through the quest. The black variant can only be earned through pre ordering. It is the same gun, just a different color. There was nothing stated about time gates

No no no. No matter if you pre-order or not, you have to do the quest line. There's no free Gjhallahorn. When you complete the quest, depending on if you pre-ordered or not, you will get your corresponding colors on your Gjhallahorn.

Preorder=Iron Gjallarhorn (in Black) No Preorder=Regular Gjallarhorn For now, what I understood from the stream, Its the same questline, at the same time, just a different skin.

No black gjallarhorn is a variation of yr 3 gjallarhorn the one from the quest will be the colours of the the year 1 varient we have now so basically if u want to preorder rise of iron u get the iron gjallarhorn immediately from the postmaster you then can get the yr 1 coloured varient from the quest whenever it unlocks through rise of iron storyline. So just to clarify this for you guardians if u preorder u get a variation of the year 3 gjallarhorn which is the black and silver one as soon as you launch the game but for people who don't preorder they half to wait until the quest

The black gjallarhorn is just a reskin. Everyone gets the guest for gjallarhorn but the people that pre order get the black one.

4 RepliesNo it isn't, you reforge your own new Gjallarhorn, the iron one is preorder only. Raid requirements on Day #1 "must have both gjallarhorns".

10 RepliesNo it's not. They said on stream that the black version is only obtainable through pre order. The regular is available through a quest. In fact, you have to do the same quest for both but, when if you pre ordered and you finish the quest you get the black version.

3 RepliesEveryone gets the quest. At the end you get a Gjallarhorn. If you pre-ordered it's the Iron version in Black. That's it.

Gjallerhorn, both black and regular are ONLY available through the quest line that everyone can do. The ONLY thing pre-ordering does is get you a different version of gjallerhorn from completing that quest.
