If a team is good at playing together, why break them up? That makes no sense and only adds to frustration and rage.
I personally don't enjoy being told that I have to be separated from players because I play well with them.
Lots of folks saying just invite the group to your own fireteam. That should be completely unnecessary. Why should i have to look for each of their names to have a good team?
Yes I can just invite them after the match, but it is a pain.
Just to clarify, I mean for the winning team only.
Since this is trending I will shamelessly self premote my community study.

2 RepliesI think it's fair. Let's say they get rid of sbmm and go completely for connections. It would be unfair for a team to get constantly pub stomped. Breaking up the teams is a simple solution that doesn't interfere with connections.

1 ReplyThey're taking away our freedom! When I'm playing, I have NO problem repetitively losing to a team that's better. As long as there's no lag and they're just skilled. However, if I chose to leave against that winning team- I could. Bungie doesn't and shouldn't police that. Leave if you want, stay if you want.

4 RepliesI played 4 IB matches today IN A ROW, where I was top of a losing team... How about you break up those teams to find a better match....
-
if it's a bunch of yahoo's then you just got lucky.
-
Id be happier if they just reshuffled the 12 players a bit instead of researching for 12 players.

10 RepliesFor an allegedly social game, Bungie sure goes out of its way to make it anti-social.
-
Edited by Brokenspade: 5/27/2016 2:55:05 AMBungie's is now actively manipulating your stats via matchmaking. They are punishing their long term customers who u understand the game and it's mechanics to protect new players. ...In a 2 year old game. SBMM is a punishment for your loyalty.
-
3 RepliesThis always happens when I'm playing solo. Lose 6 games in a row...no change. Finally win one and... "We're breaking up those teams to find a better match".
-
SBMM is essentially a curse for solo players like me. Also, all of the changes to the crucible made it harder to succeed as an individual.
-
Keeping winning teams together would probably promote more social interaction imo. If you play well together as a team for 1 match it could easily be dismissed as flukey and no one really takes note. On the other hand if you keep a winning team together until they lose and they go on a decent streak you're more likely to reach out to other players. It could definitely be a good way to increase the sense of comradery in IB for solo players.

The lobby is 12 people, your winning team this round, might be against you the next round. I see this often.
-
You answered your whole question with, " it just adds to the frustration and rage". This is deliberate to put you on tilt so you keep playing hoping for that good win streak or one in fifty random good team it sometimes gives you. It's not going to give you a repeating advantage and increase your odds and or enjoyment. That doesn't keep you playing longer. The entire system is rigged/ fixed with your team standing no chance of winning before a shot is even fired. People that realize that are generally the ones who quit immediately once an early lead is established and round and round it goes.
-
Sounds like you need to be carried and you get mad when Bungie separates you from your sherpas.
-
If that team isn't broken up, then any opposing team would be at a severe disadvantage. Just think of it as helping out the scrubs by putting better people in their team.
-
Went on a tear today, which scared me cuz that never happens. I quit before the "now beat his ass back down to earth " streak of games popped up.
-
9 RepliesThey dont want you to succeed, win, and feel good about playing. They want you to have a %50 win rate and 1.0 kd. So they will break you up and drop you into matches to get stomped on to influence your numbers how they want them to be.
-
The game has the worst matchmaking methods I've ever seen in a FPS. Then again, I've only played Halo 2, 3, Reach and 4 online so...
-
I never understood this myself. Why break up a winning team?
-
Edited by FLEXX: 5/27/2016 5:57:46 AMBungie doesnt allow you to have fun. Sorry. At least keep the winning team together, if they end up playing bad the next match or later matches. Players are free to leave you know. Idk bungie, maybe this can help solve the fireteam vs solo players problem. If they happen to beat the fireteam, then put them against the next if available.
-
1 ReplyAgreed, I'm fine if they separate the 2 teams but let the winners get paired up together for the next match. That would be fun. But Bungie hates fun
-
I think that sbmm should track different skills for different modes, like putting a couple good defensive players with some good offensive players.
-
3 RepliesAdd a "party up" option like there was in H3.
-
Good idea, and but only if you get matched with another team that seems good
-
1 ReplyThat happened to a team I was in today and in another team we won by the mercy rule. My only question is what darn matchmaking formula managed to put those two matches together in the first place. Ya think maybe they all had similar connection stats? I'm pretty sure it wasn't a skill based match up. No malice intended, just a question to ponder.

2 RepliesEdited by HugoDeuxT: 5/27/2016 12:12:34 AMI thought your k/d would've been higher since you teamshot Lmao jk <3

Edited by LordofChaos: 5/26/2016 11:07:13 PMNo.. it is necessary so the same team does not just go pub stomping all the time against every other team. No easy wins for you. earn your wins... if you want to keep playing with them.. party up in a party or invite to fireteam.. if you dont.. your own fault.
