Gripe about Variks
I have a bit a beef with how Variks' House of Judgment rep packages work. Four times now, I have gotten a class item instead of a weapon. Class items are the only thing he actually sells (aside from the unrelated sword).
If class items can be bought AND earn from the Prison, they should be taken off the loot table for rep packages. Its completely unfair that they are there adding more RNG when those packages are the ONLY source for the weapons.
Thoughts?

I'm in the same boat. Have leveled up multiple classes and only one weapon to show (not really though because the perks sucked so hard I dismantled it on the spot). NOT worth the time. Bungie's RNG is not completely random, it's BNG.

Hit rank 3 yesterday and got a Soulstealers claw and a shader.

I don't understand why the only thing he actually sells is in packages. I mean, maybe if you wanted a HoJ tier 12 class item you'd chase one from a package, but let's be real... If you're chasing tier 12, you probably want Crucible rep booster class items

1 ReplyI leveled up variks 4 times on warlock, 3 on Titan and 3 on hunter... Only ONCE I got a weapon (and it's really good) the rest are only class items. So it isn't worth the time anymore. I'll just do Coe and hope for the best

Ok, this is bungie and Activision. They put it in so you have to play more. They don't care if you're unhappy because you're still playing, and even more because you don't have what you want. You never will have what you want. You will never stop playing as long as they give you a new weapon every 6 months that requires 6 months of play to get. Welcome to getting -blam!-ed and not even knowing it.

Did you also know that there is a House of Judgement sparrow? Still waiting for that to drop in the upgrade packages.

Sadly, you're not alone my friend. It took me several level ups to get a weapon. I got the 330 class items more times than not. When I did get a weapon to drop, ive only gotten two...I got a god rolled HC, which is fun in PvE, haven't used it in PvP, and a Soul Stealers Claw whose only stability perk is Rodeo. Still grinding though. You'll get one eventually, but Variks is a stingy bastard
