Salutations! So, I'm a little bored and so I've decided to write a short story. If anyone could correct me on grammar and spelling mistakes, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Criticism and ideas are encouraged. _____________________________________ Chapter 1: It all started back in the Cosmodrome. The land - barren - civilisation stripped from the surface of the Earth. It used to be such a beautiful place. The life-stricken planet once blossomed. The land once held luscious tropical rainforests that had the most bizarre specimens, to deep underwater where the unique, transparent, blobs of deadly jelly, lingered. Now, there's nothing. There used to be entire islands of ice, they're gone. There used to be desolate areas of sand, they're also gone. All plant and animal life, gone - well, most of it. The fall of planet Earth began after an alien race known as the Fallen, invaded and killed everything they laid eyes on. They caused mass destruction. They caused Earth's downfall. Yet, there is one place that they have not yet been able to conquer. The Last City, located in Old Russia. This is the last place on Earth where the human population stands. In the solar system in which Earth belongs, The Traveler - an object of somewhat a star and yet, a planet - sits close by the broken wasteland. The Traveler is said to be the protector of Earth, but unfortunately, has become ancient and is no longer fit for the role. In its last efforts, it created the Ghosts. A Ghost's job was to seek out undead warriors called, guardians. A guardian is a deceased lifeform who is revived - by their new companion, the Ghost - and is set with the goal of protecting The Last City from the darkness. Guardians could have been of many variations. In this tale, we meet a uniquely defined fireteam of Earth's future unexpected saviours. > Present Day The tower was a place of rest for the guardians, it was their home. The tower is in The Last City, it's the reason it's still standing. "Hey Timothy, have you seen Rhys?" Quizzed Jack - the Human titan. He was revived by his Ghost in the Cosmodrome. Jack has a well-structured body - which explains why he is a titan. He has short, sandy hair - that sticks out at the front - and has sapphire-blue eyes. There's a deep scar that crosses over his left eye, causing him to suffer half-blindness. He is very strong but is not too bright. A very friendly personality. "He's... Uh... Oh! He's been practising his magic for the past half hour," replied Timothy. Timothy is an Awoken hunter. Awoken are blue-skinned beings from a place in space called 'The Reef'. He left in search of adventure and ended up getting himself killed. His Ghost later found and revived him on Venus. He has a slim build. He has marble eyes - pale enough to make him appear blind. His hair is long, oil-black, and spiked. It sticks up - causing his facial features, skin tone, and hair combined - to make him look devilishly handsome. He owns a playfully cocky personality that causes him to get in trouble, but he's easily forgiven. Everything about him - his appearance, his personality, his possessions - all make him a total badass and legend among guardians - according to himself. Finally, there's Rhys-7. Rhys is an Exo warlock. His Ghost found him on the Mars. Exos' are robots with personalities. They are designed to be very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, Exos' often have their memories wiped. This is why Rhys has the number seven after his name. He is a metallic black colour, and has illuminated blood-red eyes. He is a calm and straight-forward robot, but sometimes has his hyperactive moments. ~To be continued...
