No doubt that many players find him to be a bit OP, but nerfing him would be far more difficult than many people seem to believe. What sort of nerfs would you give him to perhaps make him more fair, without making him worthless?
Some of my suggestions:
1: limit his turning radius.
Before, when bastion had a shield in turret form, he was only able to look around in 180 degrees, leaving his back as a major weakpoint. When they removed the shield, they gave him full 360° turning. If they limit him back to 180°, taking him out would be easier as you could get close and kite around him to deal major damage without worry. Getting behind him would still be a challenge at times, but not impossible as it is now.
2: give his gun a wind-up time.
Pretty simple, make His gun have to pick up speed before firing. This is a common mechanic used for miniguns in many games, and gives players a small chance to do some damage in-between firing. Do not nerf his damage, as it is meant to be punishing and currently is. But give players some ability to move if they are quick enough.
3: adjust self repair
I do not want to see his repair removed, however it can be adjusted a bit to make it a little more situational. Make the time it takes to stop repairing and start shooting again a little longer. Perhaps add a mechanic similar to tolbjorn's scrap mechanic to limit how much he can repair at any given time (it can recharge slowly, and be boosted with items dropped by fallen enemies). This would also force a bastion to leave his comfort zone occasionally to increase survival rate.
4:Increase time it takes to reconfigure.
I feel he can is actually not as stationary as he could be. I think they should increase his time to reconfigure to about 1-1.5 seconds. His ult should be unaffected. This would make him a little less versatile at any given moment, and would prevent a bastion from switching as soon as he sees you to kill you in a second (though decreasing the field of view alone might do this well enough.)
5. Limit characters.
No doubt it is incredibly fun to have full teams of a certain classes. However the only time most balancing issues for me up is when multiple of the same character is used by a team. We know overwatch will launch with both a competitive and a social playlist. For that reason, I believe that character selection should be limited to 2 of a kind in competitive. No limit on the social playlist, of course.

1 ReplyLiterally if his turret had a wind up he'd be fine.
-
Make him like a true turret and only rotate 180° thats it.
-
Make it so he can't rotate a full 360 degrees. Decrease his Rate of Fire and amount of ammo. His damage can stay the same.
-
3 RepliesHe is not op at all. The only reason he seems good is because everyone is new and sucks so they don't know how to play against him. After the game is out for a while, bastion will not seem op.
-
The only thing I could think of being changed is having Self Repair on a 10 second cool down or what it normally is. He isn't that op.
-
4 RepliesSwitch to Genji, deflect his bullets at him. Switch tk Widowmaker, snipe the fvck out of him. Switch to Junkrat, trip mine jump over him and blast him with grenade launcher. Mcree "it's high noon" him. Be with a D.va and hide behind her shield matrix thing. Reaper can teleport, he may be the most risky though. Hanzo, well i can take them down easily with Hanzo for some reason. I can probably come up with more strategies but Genji's is the easiest to do

3 RepliesPlayers need to learn to switch characters. Some people work better against Bastion than others. Reaper and Roadhog both are very strong against bastion.
-
Wouldnt

After some thought: Reduce his rof by 50%. This would make it easier to counter. If not 50, then 25. Either way i think his rof is one of his biggest issues as it provides unparalleled dps.
-
2 RepliesI would remove his pet bird.

6 RepliesEdited by SG GEARD: 5/11/2016 2:37:15 PMD.Va needs to be nerfed. Being ejected from the robot for a second life all the time, would have to change. It should be done manually, at a certain point, instead of being automatically done. Bastion is good the way he is already.
-
Remove him from the game !!!!
lol
-
Have you tried maybe sniping him?
-
Make his bullets have a wider spread at a distance.
-
1 ReplyNope, I'd leave him as is. As others have said there are plenty of counters to Bastion. If you can't figure out what those are, and are dumb enough to go running, multiple times, around a corner into a Bastion, then you deserve to be swiss cheese.
-
2 RepliesNot at all because there is one amazing counter genji, I think that's how his name is spelled, his reflect ability can kill a bastion
-
I don't think any of the characters need a nerf, the only issue I have, is I get bored of seeing play of the match with bastion over and over and over again; the class doesn't really require any skill to play.
-
2 RepliesAll that would be acceptable is a damage drop off at long range, or an accuracy penalty at long range. He's not hard to counter, but I don't think he should have sniper range.
-
Doesn't need nerfed.
-
2 RepliesI wouldn't He was already hit with a hard nerf. Imagine him being invincible in turret form. Prop bastion in a corner and only a lucky tracer could kill him.
-
3 RepliesNope, no nerf. He's so easy to counter.
-
Lower magazine size
-
Nope. There were MANY counters for him.
-
4 RepliesHe's been nerfed. He used to have a shield
-
I wouldn't, he's pretty easy to deal with if you aren't completely shit.
-
In my personal opinion and experience just decrease the damage of the turret slightly and make the reload speed a lot longer.
