Quite sure it's low impact/high rof autos with counter balance Still say high impact pulse rifles are there too

25 RepliesEdited by Talonia_: 5/2/2016 2:25:11 PMComplete balance . Pulse rifles and autos need a severe range nerf, as of right now both are way to viable vs scout at range making scouts not as viable. Example: a hacksaw can out gun a mida at range. So can a spare change .25 and other pulses (doctrine can come close winning 1/2 the time at range) Also snipers need a massive and I mean like 75% rof nerf. Right now it's not as punishing missing a sniper shot as it should be. Snipers are precision rifles and should be used as such and not used as higher damaging scout rifles. This would also mean fixing the speed reload with NLB (sorry all). I also understand the impact this would make in PVE. So I say increase precision multiplier. Lower impact snipers loss of fire rate - 20% Medium impact snipers loss of fire rate - 50% Hi impact snipers loss of fire rate - 50% Fusion rifle hit detection 90% of the time is worse then melee hit detection. Hitting a person right as they pass a corner usually doesn't connect as well as sprinting targets at medium range. Fixing this would have them be in there sweet spot. Sound effects for popped supers. This has become an issue of late. Mainly GG doesn't make a sound when poped. It's not that it isn't being heard, it's the fact that no sound at all is coming out. This is a huge advantage for GG and should be fixed. Lastly everyone's want to be nerfed item. Fire bolts. I have two suggestions for those. -first nerf Viking funeral not fire bolts. Makeing the timer from 10 ticks down to 6. -second make it only hit one target not three. As of right now one fire bolt can make a team one shot. And with hawk moon being the new meta, it will happen As for everything else I feel like it's in the right spot.

in my opinion, crucible isn't completely balanced, but it's the most balanced it has ever been.
-
Hey how come I can't equip TLW in my secondary and heavey spots????
-
shotguns are stronger it seems, or at least used more often
-
1 ReplyIt's hawksaw meta part 2 with some doctrines and Mida mixed in
-
Yeah, no lol. I occasionally see weapons other than mida and doctrine and conspiracy theory archetype shotguns or snipers but not that often
-
3 RepliesLow rof autos are highly ineffective. Medium impact & low impact pulse rifles kill in the same number of bursts. Bladedancers still rarely kill things. Hammers still do little to no damage. Melees connect half the time. The "phantom bullet" phenomenon still occurs. Connections are still pier to pier. Sbmm is still in the game. Hunters can't max agility & warlocks can't max recovery, yet titans can max armor.
I might be blind, but even I can see the problems with this situation.
Edited by TrulyDontCare: 5/2/2016 4:26:53 AMIt's pretty damn balanced now, for sure. But, it can never be completely balanced. There are many, many, many, many people who will only use whatever is considered the most powerful weapon, ability, or class. It doesn't really even need to be more powerful, it just needs to be considered more powerful. Those people will all start using it and it'll flood PvP until people get pissed off and call for a nerf. Once another balance update arrives, it all starts over. I think this is about as balanced as it can get. They really did a good job. If they nerf Doctrine or Hawksaw or whatever else, people will just find something else that seems exploitable and use the shit out of that instead. Edit: personally, I've been finding I can go in with any weapon type and do just as well (or just as bad). That's really the goal with weapon balancing and I think they nailed it.

No it's not blue scout rifle and blue shotty ftw

7 RepliesIsn't it weird how I only see one or two auto rifles being used constantly? (Arminius and Doctrine... Isn't it sad that these are treated as exotics?) I still only see the MIDA being used. I haven't seen consistent use of any other exotic scout rifles, let alone LEGENDARY scout rifles. Hand cannons are a joke now. Hawkmoon is alright, but there are situations where the bullets (still) don't connect. Eyasluna can still outbeat the Hawkmoon. Last word got hit hard. I completely agreed with the range drop off, but the extra damage from hip fire being removed was too much. The gun is really inconsistent and I don't see many people using it anymore, but that's me. Hawksaw is still better than most guns. The meta is still here, it's just that the Last Word was replaced by Hawkmoon... Sometimes.

I tend to agree. Still overused is doctrine, hawksaw, and snipers. (The snipers are particularly annoying). But I felt I could use almost anything and have a chance. I stuck with my grasp of Malok primarily.. But did grab an occasional auto or scout depending on the map. And I used the hell outta fusions. (But I always have).
-
There is still a meta, but it's not as bad as previous ones. But this sniper meta feels like it's getting out of hand though. Head glitching campers down every long hallway. I'm sick of it. It's fine if you occasionally snipe here or there, but camping one spot for the entire match? Hell no. And as well those who do that but still go back to that hiding spot even though I've already killed you more than once...bitch, I can see you! You ain't hidden and you ain't smart!
-
It's definitely better, but not perfect. Shot package can come back, and doctrine e archetype can get a small range nerf. That's about it.
-
13 RepliesSnipers are still an issue. I still believe adding a scope sway will help immensely. Sway after shot. De-scope if damaged.

Edited by I_Bait_U: 5/2/2016 2:36:05 PMDoP, mida, tlw, 1Kys. Soooo balanced, sooo much diversity. It's not like a DoP can outgun a scout/pulse at med range no matter how many headshots you hit. And it's not like my vex can't beat a tlw, also mida def doesn't beat a VoC even if I land first headshot, and I shoot sniper in the head a bunch just to somehow get head shotted or bodyshot then primary and get told that's skill. Yes balance and diversity at its finest.

7 Repliespfff hawksaw, mida...nuff said shit aint balanced
-
1 ReplyMIDA, Hawksaw, and Doctrine of Passing are the current meta. But it's nowhere near as intensive as the other metas like thorn and TLW at the end of year 1. So I guess what we've got now isn't really a meta. Just 3 popular guns
-
Absolutely, everyone has a sniper with high aim assist. Crucible has been balanced since ttk came out
-
Edited by Sixclicks: 5/2/2016 2:31:20 PMCurrent Meta: Hawksaw Doctrine MIDA TLW 1000 Yard Stare or similar archetype sniper. Their lead over other weapons is much less significant now, but they're still the most commonly used weapons for a reason. The snipers are especially still a problem. I personally don't think AA should exist at all on snipers. Which is why I use Eirene RR4. That said, Crucible is closer to balanced than it has ever been.
-
8 RepliesYa'll talking about meta's and I'm here using the first curse.
-
I agree. I love it.
-
Now all they have to do is fix the lag
-
-
Yea I'm glad I can bring my shadow price into rumble and literally take a dumb on chests man. Love this thing

Are the Weasels & Baboons still OP?
