Since we know that the next update will be revealed at e3, what are people wanting? Yes people are wanting new raids, gear and challenges, but what about missions? If they add lore based missions into Destiny (preferably from grimoire), it will help with the story telling due to the fact that players could maybe interact with some of the backstory. An example of a lore based story mission would be the Daily heroic: Paradox, where they added 'lost memories' in hidden areas which helped us learn about Praedyth and Kabr's fireteam. An idea could be that your guardian is ordered to investigate Dwindlers Ridge to help the vanguard add more files and information into the vanguard archive. The mission involves your guardians fighting through abandoned, fallen infested buildings; scanning 'light traces' which will produce a hologram showing the different aspects from both 'The Thorn' and 'The Last Word' grimoire. This means moments such as Dredgen Yors rampage, all the way up to the standoff where the final hologram ends after cutting off before showing who dies between Dredgen Yor and Jared Ward. [u]Remember this is just what I thought they could do to add to the depth of the story, but it doesn't matter if you agree or disagree. Share your opinion in the comments section below![/u] *Edit* - Another idea could also be to add different scans in certain patrol areas (like Phobos and the Dreadnaught), but in areas such as the Cosomodrome and Mars. It would be interesting to see what past events and stories could be presented in certain areas, and maybe even use the scans as ways to trigger special events as missions too.
