Why nerf Gjally if you weren't going to make it year 2?
Also, now it is nerfed why not bring it to year 2?
And before people say "but the elite will make us require it for raids" bs.. Just make a quest that lets everyone have a fair chance of getting it.

As has already been shown, it's possible for players at max light to equip a 170 weapon and still do the raid, bungie may/may not have known this but either way, what difference does it make?

People are still elitist, they are just requiring different weapons. Making elite weapons quest items is not good for the game either as it ruins the chase. Nobody gets excited about getting any drop in Y2 because 1) there are no really great weapons now to begin with and 2) the good ones are all quest items. SOME items need to be left for pure RNG so that people have something to get excited over. Whether it becomes a requirement for LFG or not should be of little concern to Bungie since they can't control that through game management anyways. THE ONLY thing that will address LFG elitism is optional matchmaking for all activities.

I didn't get a gally until about a week b4 xur sold it. I tried every chance I could to get it to drop even had my buddy run nightfalls and raids when I wasn't able to play because of working 2 jobs at the time. I had friends get the gorgon cp for me every week just to get a chance for the gally to drop. It kept my playing consistently in year one. Finally I got it and was so pumped it hasn't left my inventory since. A week later xur sold it and a couple weeks after that it was nerfed. I would use lfg all the time for crota and never had an issue with elites saying I needed it. I would love to see the gally come to year 2

I believe that's why they nerfed it in the first place is to bring it back, I think they had a plan all along to bring it back.

cause they think they -blam!-ed up in year 1. they wanna rewrite what made their game popular. thats why division has so many players now. cause bungie -blam!-ed up. a lot.

Cause they can't figure out how to make a better weapon with out breaking the game. So they NERF it and leave it behind to make the crap they have now look better.

I 100% agree. Way back when, I actually made a post saying [i]relax, Gjally will be year 2 - or they wouldn't have nerfed it![/i] Confuses me.

29 RepliesBungie's reason for nerfing the Gjally was to help eliminate the teams that only would raid with you if you had a Gjally but it switched from need Gjally to need spindle and ToM so their plan completely failed.
