So do you think gun laws should be more strict or stay the way it is right now??? I don't think guns are really the problem it's just the people who carry them that should have background checks before buying a gun. That's just my opinion though...

Get rid of all guns and brink back sword fighting

1 ReplyTake guns away and people are going to die all the same. Maybe try focusing on economic and social problems, that would improve quality of life.

So those toddlers that kill an adult every week of the year with a gun should be screened better? ;) try again
-
In Texas, or some parts, we're allowed to kill someone who is trespassing on our property if we feel threatened by them. What fun :))
-
2 RepliesHeck if health care is now a "right" despite not being in the bill of rights then when do we start getting free/affordable guns for all?
-
You don't mention the approximately 2,000,000 times per year that guns are used, by honest citizens, to prevent crimes. If these honest citizens had not been armed, the crime statistics would be much worse.

14 RepliesEdited by Gwynifear: 3/27/2016 5:19:06 AMIn the United States there are over 320,000,000 People. Over 100,000,000 Americans own a gun. On Average 2.5 million Americans die each year. On average 30,000 people are killed by guns. 20,000 of those people commit suicide with a firearm. The other 10,000 you have to look at on a case by case basis because circumstances and causes will vary. 30,000 to 320,000,000 is like .001% or some insane small percentage. Personally I'd wouldn't count those 20,000 Americans who committed suicide because I would attribute that to the mental health problem. So 10,000 to 320,000,000 people is an even smaller percentage. Death by gun doesn't even break the top 10 reasons Americans died according to the CDC. Most of the top ten causes of death are caused by things we consume. Literally 99.999% of Americans are unaffected by guns. Our "Gun" problem is more of a mental health and poverty problem.

It doesn't matter, if they want them all I have to say is send some people around here to get them.

1 ReplyI think people are forgetting that the point of the amendment is to arm ourselves to protect us from our own Government. Not criminals and robbers. Of course it can be used for home defense, but that wasn't the primary intention.
-
11 RepliesPersonally, I'd add a couple of addendums/stipulations. 1) Any person with a diagnosed psychological condition of a certain severity and/or requiring medication cannot purchase a firearm of any sort. 2) Any person jailed for a criminal act will be restricted from purchasing a firearm for a period of time, unless the crime was either extremely violent or proved fatal.

1 ReplyEdited by XL Chorizo Taco: 3/27/2016 6:02:06 PMBackground checks are already required.

5 RepliesIf you want to keep your guns then sure. I just think there should be a back round check on all guns (even at trade shows) and a safety class you have to take
-
12 RepliesI'm fine with people have pistols, shotguns and hunting rifles but be able to get assault rifles legally is ridiculous.
-
We can keep guns, we just need to keep them in the right hands...how to do this? Well idk

3 RepliesAlready has been a little bit. The fact we can restrict criminals from legal access already technically violates "shall not be infringed" part.
-
21 RepliesI don't think that people understand that when the founding fathers created the US Constitution, "Arms" were quite different.

You try and change any amendment and there will be another civil war
