I'm extremely happy they decided to do more PvE activities that could lead to the light cap without being forced to do the raid. I work full time and really can only play a little on weekends and some days during the week. Bungie made a huge step forward by making it possible to hit the light cap by doing the Prison of Elders or other endgame activities like the strikes. Thank you Bungie.

4 RepliesPoe is a raid
-
Dude, it is way easier and less confrontational to grab a spot on a raid team than in a PoE or ToO group.
-
Edited by LAYL0W: 3/29/2016 8:55:18 PMSerious? Full raid with exp team 1hr? Less?
-
PoE will only give you the 4 pieces of Armor and Guns. There has been no mention about where to get a 335 Ghost. And as for the Artifact you will have to do CoO. So you wont get to Max with just PoE.
-
If you are a casual destiny player why would you care about max light.. Plan on disappointment, it's not gonna be as straightforward and easy as u are thinking.
-
I struggled to find two for skolas in year 1 ;_;.... I don't think much will change for me lol.... I do like that you can get a high level artifact for court of Oryx.
-
6 RepliesYou have to do POE and there is no matchmaking for elders mode.
It's just more of the same DUDU.
2 RepliesWatch out man, you're likely to attract all the salty snowflakes who think that you should have to spend hundreds of hours grinding raids to hit the light cap in order to be the 'true' max level, just because that's what they did.

15 RepliesLol I am married and have a full time job.. Poor excuse, the raid takes 45 mins to an hour

Don't get too excited. The way it's thrown to us now, every spring we will get a new prison, then this summer we will have another race, in fall a new big content, winter another race. Throw in ToO every weekends, IB once per month and some events from time to time. Every new "big" activities will raise the light level.. so now prison is the flavour of the moment but this fall it will all be in vain... you will get blue armour that is better than what you got in the prison.
-
What makes you think it will be easier/quicker?
-
Everyone is so salty about the update, but as a non raid player I'm actually looking forward to it. I beat KF but it took me forever to find a good group to do it. Now I'm just not really into destiny enough to spend hours trying to find a good team and beat the raid. It will be nice to have a viable alternative to that now. Of course I'll probably be playing DS3, but this gives me reason to play destiny again.

Finally, for the second time!
-
1 ReplyYour mums an endgame activity.
-
You don't need to do the whole raid, just do the challenge cp or Oryx cp.
-
If u dont raid, you dont deserve raid gear/lv cap. Dafuq u need end gear for? Patrols? Dafuq outta here.
-
You won't hit max level by doing Strikes. Challenge PoE will be the only way to get 335 gear!
-
Agreed. I play solo and usually don't have time to raid.
-
Why do you think it's going to be easy? The only real difference is that with PoE 2.0 you don't have to find 5 others to run it with, instead you'll only need two more guys to run it with. That's the only difference between PoE and a Raid. As far as difficulty is concerned well that will depend on the modifiers each stage will have but from what I remember from PoE 1.0 Skolas wasn't always that easy to beat unless you in a decent group. Remember it's still an end game content. It might not be a raid but it doesn't mean it will be much easier. Either ways hitting 320 (or at least 319) has always been possible. It would take so much longer since you will have to rely on events like Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris. I am not 100% sure if you can get 320 artifact from IB or ToO that's why I said at least 319. I know for a fact that it's possible to get a 310 artifact from IB.

1 ReplyPoE is a mini raid needing 3 vs 6 for a raid. It's difficulty is scaled to 3, but not easy. I have done Skolas, hard, enough to avoid it! It was work, not fun. My group disbanded and left Destiny when the fun stopped, work started and our hard earned gear turned to junk. I'm the last. I will play this 'update', but if is smells of the same stuff different date (SSDD), I'm done. I loved the game but it's become a: need teams, need LFG: bitch: complain: beg for nerf because you died, instead of fun, fun, fun. It's lost it's way. Too bad, but nothing lasts. The shooting and graphics are amazing. The lagging, money grubbing, weapon butchering, nerf appeasing, 'no child left behind' mentality belongs in politics, not games! The PVP focus in a game sold en-mass as a PVE game is now pathetic. I know when things have turned to shit all too well. Time for one more try, then bye...
Hope I'm not disappointed, but, it's still Bungie
63 RepliesIf you can't beat KF hard or challenge modes you don't deserve max light.
-
1 ReplyI never finished a hard raid because i refuse to use lfg sites... But now i can jumpnin with 2 friends have fun and level up
-
2 RepliesEdited by rZI3: 3/29/2016 12:32:33 PMso at 309 you'll be carried through the new poe match making each week? until such time you acquire higher light.... good luck :)
-
1 ReplyI've been in some POE games that went as long as some raids. So your still gonna need time because apparently they are NOT going to add check points. (Which Is dumb, but that's my opinion )
-
Level 42 won't have matchmaking though. And that's where you get 335 gear
