It's business, plain and simple. Microsoft made a strategic move not to invest in timed exclusive content. Rather, they are focusing more on console exclusive games. Bungie/Activision sought to maximize profits, and decided to invest more money in timed exclusives. True, you'll have less to do for a few months. However, It's simply time locked. You'll get to play it come September. Honestly, the Y1 content delay was actually a good thing (though we didn't get to use Hawkmoon in all its op glory). The delay gave us more to do just before the Taken King was released. And Bungie made sure the PS exclusive weapons were available with Y2 stats. You also don't get an advantage in PvP, unless cross-platform gaming is adopted. No one has access to the PS exclusives on the Xbox. Personally, I have no desire to purchase a PS4. None of the PS console exclusives interest me enough to invest the money for another console, and I'm not a fan of the PS controller, or the PS Network. I made my choice, and I believe it's a good one for me. With that, I accept that sometimes I may have to wait for content.

4 RepliesSo the Developer betrayed the Customers by making content that the Publishers decided to zone off and keep exclusive for a year? Nope. Bungie develops the game. PS and XB are the customers. Activision are the ones who decide what gets cut and for how long, as they are the ones with the money. Not White Knighting for Bungie here. Just getting rather sick of idiots incorrectly placing the blame. ~Signed a PS4 user who thinks one year exclusives are an insult to the word retarded.
