Just curious as to what you all think. Do you think trials would benefit from no radar or suffer from it?
Personally I think no radar would be an interesting twist to things and make teams have to communicate more.
What are your thoughts?
Edit: Should've added an unsure option as well.
Edit 2: 50 comments so far. Cool to see everyone's opinions

1 ReplyNo. Some people argue that radar makes things easy. But I think that radar is there to make up for the inability for video games to replicate real life sensor complexities. For example: peripheral vision, smell, hearing (you can't hear people's footsteps in destiny, though you can hear gun shots), and even "sixth sense," which argues that every person has an aura around them sensitive to energy around or directed at them (ever wonder how you stare at someone and they turn to look back at you?). That's not to say the radar in destiny can be tweaked a little. Perhaps the blips can be made weaker, like it is constantly blinking instead of present, like what you have now when your opponent is crouching. Perhaps the range in which someone shows up can be slightly "nerfed."

Maybe they should try it one week

You nubs would still complain. Probably even more lol.

Most rounds would probably go to time limit, i don't think it's a good idea. People move around in Inferno but i'm sure it would be different in an elimination game mode where it kind of matters if you win or lose.

2 RepliesKnucklehead radar, idk.

6 RepliesStop bumping ur own post fgt

They should also take out the outline when you get killed so it's a true 2v3 and res shields too

3 RepliesLmao u keep bumping the topic yourself by answering every single comment , thats why it looks like 50 replies smh

1 ReplyI voted yes cuz trials is boring as fk now but tbh no becasue pure shotguners.

1 ReplyRadar is part of tactic, keep it

1 ReplyOnly if you always put ToO on the smallest maps. Widows court for example is a awful map anyway then imagine with no radar this week.

7 RepliesAdd an inferno trials to run concurrently with trials. Problem solved 😄 I'll take chocolate chip cookies.

15 RepliesHaha, you can bet your life that everyone replying no are snipers. Snipers, who sit at the back of maps out of radar don't want sneaky people using primary weapons or those hateful shotgunners not appearing on radar. Shocking.

3 RepliesIf you remove radar you will promote people to camp constantly. In this game there is no way to counter a camping shotgunner around the corner unless you are a god at sniping or you have your own shotgun, even then they have the jump on you. This will mean that everyone will have to be toting a shotgun in order to survive the enemy shotgun. Due to the camping shotgunner having the statistically better chances of winning the firefight everyone will then camp in an attempt to win. This will result in the following scenario for probably 75% or more of trial matches. Both teams camp their spawn, timer starts to get low, both teams double time to the flag location in order to camp it first. The outcomes will be: 1) one team gets there first and beats the everliving shite out of the late team because they have the camp. 2) both teams arrive at the same time and a massive firefight occurs where both teams are on equal terms. Now that second option would be great, however this second option will only occur after 2 minutes of camping. So overall radar removal will turn trials into an extremely drawn out game.

3 RepliesNo, it would encourage even more camping.

5 RepliesEdited by PinO iZ SiK: 3/21/2016 8:04:32 AMIf they disable revives it could be fun. Reviving without radar is even easier then with radar and you will instantly have an advantage. Some teams will benefit. Some teams wont. I will benefit for sure. Played so much mlg in halo that it feels Natural without radar

5 RepliesTrials would turn into a camp fest even more. I love the idea and am a big fan of Inferno, but it wouldn't fly in Trials. People would abuse that mechanic so bad that everyone would beg for the radar back before the end of friday night.

1 ReplyNo are you stupid?
