There was a week where I was unable to play Destiny, which basically left me as a shell of my former glorious /s self when I came back. I had to adjust to the Xbox One controller, having just moved from the X360, and I also had no solid players who played X1. So I went on a training montage, failed attempts with randoms, etc. Now I'm more or less just as good. 2050 Elo was my peak, and at the time that was a rating ranked at around #800.
