This coming from a sniper. Please bring back shot package so I don't have to hear so much whining about sniping. Who's with me?
Edit: Look guys, I get it. I'm not actually wanting Shot package back. My ENTIRE point is something needs to be done to bring some more people to other things aside from Sniping. To me, Sniping is Bae. I will also do it and I just want people to stop bitching about sniping

I'd rather be killed by a sniper than a shotgun in any situation. It at least took some thumb skill and he had to put his sights that are 1/1000th of the screen size on my head to kill me instead of getting close and putting a reticle 100 times bigger than a sniper reticle on my gut and killing me or following up with a melee.

Just undo the range nerf. They shouldn't add shot package back, then you would need that one perk to have a competitive shotty.

I would be ok with this if shotgun damage fall off was much more significant. Right now, shottys seem to have damage fall off in 3 phases you have your point blank (around 65 damage per projectile depending on impact of the gun), your mid range shotgun projectiles (about 25-35), and then your extended range which do about 2-5. So, honestly if they did bring back shot package, they would have to get rid of that type of falloff. They should make shotty mid range their max range with shot package. That is just what I have observed from the current crucible state.

28 RepliesYou never played when rangefinder and shot package was a thing did you. Shotguns were literally snipers. Shotguns are the way they are supposed to be now. As for snipers they need way more recoil when being shot. Hate getting headshot by them as I hit them in the face with a scout rifle.

3 RepliesI think shotguns need an overhaul to function altogether. For example, lock the range stat across all shotguns to something reasonable, now, do something crazy, like remove rangefinder and hip fire from the perk trees, and then, have them on all shotguns as intrinsic perks. Now, if you want to make shotguns really something again, remove full auto from all shotguns in favor of another perk, and then re add it in a way that it only is full auto while hip firing. And while its aiming? You guessed it. Shot package. Congrats, now shotguns are OP again. And much easier to manage.
