I remember back in TDB&HoW era Tuesday would be reset day. Everyone got on in with their friends at the usual time of day they played. We use to run nightfalls first. All three characters with Gjally on Omnigul rainbow burn, or archon priest rainbow burn. Thunder lord for arc burn. The leaving to orbit and joining your team because your orb was in a terrible spot to be revived so you didn't have to get kicked back to orbit.
Running crota a million times to get the famous black hammer, oh boy. The memories with my friends are honestly the best. I miss those days, now with the nightfall and everything else, PvE is completely garbage and stale. The new light system is terrible and infusion is worse.
Just a nice throwback to the old days :{

Yes and no. Felt forced to play every tuesday to get the max bonuses for the week, but do miss playing VoG and it all feeling fresh and new. Its all good to look at this with misty eyes (or rose tinted specs) but this place was absolutely full of trolls complaining about every little thing then too. Year 1 was far from perfect. To get from 27ish to 30 you went into VoG. Getting to 30 felt great (although frustrating) however everyone looked the same and once you had THE guns, you only used THE guns. You did know that if you got armour, it would push you forward, though To get to 32 you went into Crota or Iron banner (something for the PvPers), getting to 32 felt great like 30 did, however everyone looked the same AND people didn't think the raid was close to VoG in terms of quality. You did know that if you got armour, it would push you forward, though. The gun thing applied then too. To get to 34 you needed Etheric light, which you could apply to any gear, however the rewards were guaranteed from certain activities like iron banner and the prison of elders, great for variety, you could bring everything you loved up to the level cap, but it was all over far far too quickly because the etheric light was guaranteed, it got to a point where all you needed to do was re roll for a god roll, which everyone eventually had, and it was always the same. (discounting trials for the PvPers) To get to 300 there are several things you can do, and a tonne of gear you can wear. To get from 300-310 there is far less you can do but a bigger step to make than previously. To get from 310-320 there is even less still, but still a big jump. The issue is 300-320 is a much bigger step than usual, but with the same small amount of activities to choose from. It makes the grind feel 100 times worse and because of that it turns you away. It doesn't help that in year 1, if you got some VoG armour, you knew you no longer needed that piece. Whereas now you could get some kings fall arms and they could be lower than what you already have. The other issue is getting to near 300 and level 40 takes no time at all. So the fun bit is over too fast and the end drags...

4 RepliesI remember running VoG hard as soon as reset hit just to get fatebringer. 7 months it took. Even dropped every other item of loot at least twice (even foil) before I got it. When I did, my primary never changed. My old load out was fatebringer, black hammer and hunger of crota. So miss those days.

That was probably the most fun I had in year 1. As soon as reset hit we would be in a party of 6 and 2 groups would do the Nf's then we would assemble and do the raids. Good times.

1 ReplySigned, 3 daily dailys 3 nightfall 3 vog 3 crota crucible at night. Was awesome.

Grab some bounties in the morning. Come home later. Finish VoG by 4:00 Then wait a while until my bud got on to do crota then dick around in patrol for hours on end.

Not excited for Tuesdays anymore, used to really look forward to the Nightfall and Weekly Heroic ritual. Now there's just dread, trying to get the raids done for those 320 class items. Knowing I'm not going to get them. Bring back old Tuesdays, I miss the blue head buff.

2 RepliesEdited by SaltyEssentials: 3/16/2016 11:38:00 AMThe Crux had me running Crota for months every week. I had to train myself on sword so I didn't have to spend hours with a noob swordsman and also to get the CP at the end. There was always someone looking for sword so I did it on all 3 alts every single week on Tuesday. Now the Necro is rendered useless so all that time I wasted really pisses me off to this day.

11 RepliesNothing in this post has to do with the day of the reset

3 RepliesYear 1 was just more fun all around. Except Skolas....God help us if he comes back with a vengeance.

1 ReplyI've never heard of this "leaving the fireteam because your orb was in a bad spot
-
I really don't. I like not feeling like I have to play but rather just enjoying the game with destiny I felt like I had to get shit done with division I'm just going along for the ride and enjoying every minute of it, no urgency to play it
-
Yes. I remember those days. It was why i loved Destiny. We'd do nf's, then hard Crota, etc... good times. I havent played in months because bungle fůcked that up to try and squeeze more grind out of us by removing the actual enjoyment of the game.

I remember how Rahool says fk u with a blue engram when you gave a purple :)

Now the only day I wait for is Wednesday. Anyone know what the rolls for the thesan and the Arminius are this week?

Edited by Grimey Dark: 3/16/2016 11:45:22 AMNow, to me tuesday is LFG-day. The day I have to go on LFG to search for people to do nightfall with. Play for about 1 hour and then wait for friday. Friday is LFG-day too. Spending hours on LFG begging people to help me with Trials. But that doesn't work, so I just move over to the casual/bounties section. Get destroyed every game within 2 minutes, get a new card and start friday all over again. I just want Y1 back man. When my friends were still playing Destiny. Do the Nightfall and Raids, after that chill a little in crucible. Hell, I even did the dailies back then. Wait for Xur to pop up every friday. Grind for materials. That was fun. They ruined their own game

Awh I remember that, loved melting with my Gjally

I actually prefer year 2 but that's because my schedule changed so I can fit in a raid, I didn't have enough time to do anything in year 1. If I did have time I probably would have preferred year 1 though.
