I remember back in TDB&HoW era Tuesday would be reset day. Everyone got on in with their friends at the usual time of day they played. We use to run nightfalls first. All three characters with Gjally on Omnigul rainbow burn, or archon priest rainbow burn. Thunder lord for arc burn. The leaving to orbit and joining your team because your orb was in a terrible spot to be revived so you didn't have to get kicked back to orbit.
Running crota a million times to get the famous black hammer, oh boy. The memories with my friends are honestly the best. I miss those days, now with the nightfall and everything else, PvE is completely garbage and stale. The new light system is terrible and infusion is worse.
Just a nice throwback to the old days :{

Miss those days. Used to grind 3 daily's, 3 nightfalls, 3 crotas and then play for hours enjoying the other activities. Now its pretty much 3 oryx raids and done for the week
-
I forgot about the blue flame I want that back dammit
-
What the hell did sub do to this thread lmfao
-
The feels.... getting on for 3 nightfalls 6 raids to do and all the poe I really miss it I hardly do raids now maybe 1 nightfall a week
-
6 RepliesThe good ol dayss, when you get a blue flame on ur head after doing nightfall.
-
hell even the dailies had more use for players that didnt raid it was a chance to get shards now all activities are useless
-
The OP Vex...( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) hehehe
-
That intense moment in the NF where you're the last living guardian, red bar, trying to find cover for dear life, afraid that any moment you're gonna be KTO and have to start all over. It didn't happen often, but it made nightfalls more fun. Also, I miss the NF buff animation
-
I do. I wish they brought back the original nightfall settings.
-
Yep could never play on a Thursday
-
if anyone wants to do the old raids fun the good old time feel free to add me in psn: kandusen hell we can even do the POE
-
I really miss the Weekly Strikes. As sad as it might sound I really enjoyed them. And the fact that we would get a giant amount of rep from them and Nightfalls & of course the Nightfalls. They were better in Y1. Without being kicked to orbit of you all die, it's just a matter of trial and error now which makes it easy and not a challenge. And of course the blue flames on our heads was pretty cool.

1 ReplyMy friends still do this actually.

How not to miss a Tuesday reset: Set up your alarm clock. It would be much more convenient if it's 4 in the morning. Set up your alarm in your mobile phone. Send "OMG it's Tuesday reset' to everyone who doesn't play Destiny. Set up an alarm in your paper schedule book. Pre-write "Reset" for the rest of the year. Write it on your forehead. Write it on the back of your hand. Write it on your screen. Post "bump for later" messages on the eve of the Tuesday reset. You can use "Muted" messages for your advantage because people will start sending you messages if you pretend to mute them. Pre-start the raid so to get loot as fast as possible when reset millisecond hits.

oh I miss old reset tuesday.
-
Miss it badly. I have a Friend that was trying to get the gally. It took him for ever he used to run all the raids on his 3 hunters delete a character and level them up till he could run everything over again. Most weeks he would run everything 5-6 times a week and kids cry about the grind now. He did finally get one pulled it from a chest on Mercury.
-
Agree. I hate resets now since trial ends at the same time :-/ The only thing I enjoy now is elimination and trials tbh.
-
I agree. Back in the day, resets meant everything. I couldn't wait for the reset to come around so that I could tackle the nightfall and see what new POE challenges came around. I loved year one raids, and I wish they were still relevant so I could run them again and get stuff that I can actually use. Now, it is all just for the experience. Nightfall was a challenge. If you didn't survive, then you all would go back to orbit, and have to START THE WHOLE THING OVER. I will never forget my frustration after all my failures and my feeling of relief after succeeding. Back when light levels made more sense and elemental primaries existed. Now Tuesdays are useless. -Nightfalls are too easy to feel accomplished about it. -I've already ran King's Fall a million times, and it's tedious. (Moldering Shards? Really?) -No POE. -No Gjally.

1 ReplyI really feel bad for the people who didn't get black hammer for a long time. I join my friends game and he was doing crota (my first time seeing crota) and he told me to sit in a corner then when the fight was over I see that I got black hammer. The entire group was flipping out cursing at me and everything. My most remembered part of destiny.
-
1 ReplyRun all 3 CE raids an hour and a half before work! But it took 126 raids before I got that damn sword breaker!!! Now I'm at 99 searching for a 320 Class Item. Always a white whale to hunt....
-
Those good old days when you would wake up at 5 to run nightfall before school
-
Yup. I miss those days too. Going in to VoG and fearing Atheon, or hoping at least one person could get you through the Gorgons Maze. Would love for this game to pull me back with the promise of more moments like that. Im almost level capped with Division, but it really does lack that early magic Destiny had.
-
I miss much the old days. Less grindy now but still.
-
Yep, really miss those days.
-
My group would do nightfall x 3 and then run a VOG and CE hard mode after. Good times
