I guarantee each and every one of you saying DeeJ should be fired are teens. No adult would demand he lose his job. Only teens who have no idea what it means to have a career are the ones getting butthurt that he actually had the balls to call that dbag's bluff. You have NO CLUE what his job requirements are, and I promise you, they aren't to make you happy. So quit your -blam!-ing whining, he doesn't owe you, me, or anyone shit. When his bosses tell him to release information, he will. Until then, suck it up.

1 ReplyEdited by DarkDra9on: 3/13/2016 5:46:33 AM
Hey, y'all. I figured the guy with the duck was kidding. Thought I'd take a moment to kid back. No offense intended to any of you at all. I don't want to be the guy who disappears in between major announcements. When I showed up at Bungie, there was nothing at all to talk about. We had yet to even whisper the name Destiny. But we still found ways to have some fun together. That's never gonna stop. I hope. I know you want more content. I know the people at Bungie who are working on that stuff. They have some good ideas and I'm looking forward to introducing them to you so that they can share them. They have a few more questions to answer before I bring you into the space where you can know what we know. In the meantime, we're supporting the game you bought and finding ways to try and entertain on Twitch. There's no substitute for fresh aliens to kill, but the fact of the matter is that I like you people too much to stay away until I have an update to reveal. I promise I'll start telling stories about the future when I know they won't change. This has been demanded of me in the past. In the meantime, please be kind to animals, and please be excellent to each other. You can be mean to me if it helps. I actually kinda like it. Love, DeeJ.
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/196182857/0/0/1

1 ReplyWell if his career is to be a liaison between Bungie and the fans, well, I'm sorry. But he sucks at it. Fact.
-
Well said. Look I don't personally think Deej is doing a good job and I thought his line was a bit ill considered. I don't however think he needs to be fired
-
This just in: no one that has a "career" can be let go, no matter how bad they are at it, because... reasons.
-
1 ReplyWell he still needs to become better at his job there is no need to fire him he just needs help to get better
-
His job requirements are to disseminate information to the player base. Ostracizing and belittling said player base is not part of it. I dare say it's actually counter-productive to his position to alienate that player base. I am a professional adult and I expect other adults with mid to high salary jobs like DeeJ has to have a modicum of decorum.

He is kind of a douchebag, i personally have never liked his attitude, just watch the streams he is in and listen how he talks to people.... But whatever, idgaf, he's nothing but a corporate mouthpiece so he has all of 0 say in what information he can disseminate.... do I approve of his snarky remarks over the last 18 months, or find them to be professional? no, but i also am not a child and don't care all that much. That he is allowed to be like that to the community is as much a reflection of his personality as it is how fundamentally shitty bungie is at public relations. I own a business, and if I had someone in my employ like him i would probably move him to a non client contact position, and i have had people work for me that just didn't have great personalities for customer interactions, otherwise great guys and valuable employees, but I'd call it shitty bedside manner if they were doctors lol. Idk, I think so many people are unhappy with them that any little thing will set them off, but also, there's a lot of hypersensitive little bitches on the forums

7 RepliesDeej is a corporate mouth piece & anyone who has worked for a corporation knows that you have a company policy you have to follow or you will get fired. This is a human being who might have a family, who may have once loved his job, who has bills, who may have a reputation that is now worth jack shit because his bosses give him his words to tell us. He is no a designer, he is not a headhoncho. He is the buffer between them & us. He isn't doing his job & he is the reason the place is toxic? How? He tells you what he can. We choose how we act, not him, because I bet if it was his choice, we would all be talking about how funny his response was to the duck joke. You want him to be more professional, then try being professional on here towards him & each other.

6 RepliesHow fitting of you to say he doesn't ow anyone shit. His -blam!-ing job is to be the voice of this community to the company, and the company's voice to us. Should he lose his job? Probably not, but man he's a sorry excuse for a community manager. Manager is certainly not a term I'd give him lo these last few months. I get that he can only say so much. I know his hands are tied to a certain degree as to what he can say but...he's clearly not living up the expectations he himself, and the company have set, in terms of how they would interact with us, the community. Period. That's evident and undeniable. The fact that he'd make some childish attempt at a joke, when he knows the community is near fracture due to the lack of info, and the horrible state of some of the aspects of the game. Yet, post after post defending him. Who is the adolescent? Makes me wonder.
-
He's a PR guy and he's not very good at it generally thats why he should be replaced. He's a bad front man for destiny and always has been IMO.
-
People that do have jobs, such as myself and plenty of others that play, usually get a year end review about how they performed on the job that work year. I suggest deej get the same review as well do, doesn't mean he should be fired, but it does gives an outlet to critique what he needs to improve which is communicating without fabrication of the statements he/bungie says
-
2 RepliesI think his reply was hilarious and I have more respect for him now than before. I've always been a Deej supporter. And the people that are butt hurt I can gaurantee have made rude and redundant posts in the past and didn't think twice of it. Also can someone tell me how to spell gaurantee. I've spelt it on my phone wrong so many times it autocorrects to the misspelt version.
-
Why do they want him fired now? What can he do with an Activision gag ball in his mouth.
-
7 RepliesHitler had a career to and stalin, oh wait and bankers who make money off the poor, oh and also ossama binladen had a career to, so did all the guys who massacred the indians to steal there land to make america, oh and the African war lords have a career to, how about this ? Respect other peoples opinions because this lame dumbassed thread that dribbled out of your mind only goes to show how immature and attention seeking butt kisser you are, Deej can look after himself so grow up !

16 RepliesI agree with you a. . . . a bit , as an adult seems kinda childish the comment he made on the weekly update. a comment like that was very unprofessional. Specially when you have a whole community strongly anticipating the news on the next big update and the comment was a slap to everyone's face teen or adult. Its like he bitch slapped the community. I could see why people would back fire like they did. Also please gently remove deej's nuts from your chin and pull the penis from out of your throat.
-
4 RepliesNot a teen, an adult here. Married, kids, own property, tax payer. He should be fired. Want a reason? Broke the CoC his own bosses put in place. You know BEST reason why he should be fired? Cause that attitude of his is exactly like that of the current generation of teens you're attempting to call out..shocker.
-
I say he should be given a raise. It's about time the community leaders take back control over their kingdoms. (BTW I think there has been a sudden increase on ninja and moderator responses to anit-destiny posts)
-
Ah intelligence, the rarest thing in destiny. Good post sir.
-
what about the single white moms with a bowl cut that always ask "where's the manager?"
-
3 RepliesUmm...what is this all about anyways?
-
Edited by DarthBuffLizard: 3/13/2016 3:02:31 AMI agree. His comment at the end was perfect. Would I have liked some news about the update? Sure, but his response was necessary.

Help a bro out

True. As pissed as I am at Bungie nobody needs to be losing their jobs except the guy that did a few week back. Sorry but he drove it straight in the dirt.
