I guarantee each and every one of you saying DeeJ should be fired are teens. No adult would demand he lose his job. Only teens who have no idea what it means to have a career are the ones getting butthurt that he actually had the balls to call that dbag's bluff. You have NO CLUE what his job requirements are, and I promise you, they aren't to make you happy. So quit your -blam!-ing whining, he doesn't owe you, me, or anyone shit. When his bosses tell him to release information, he will. Until then, suck it up.

1 ReplyStop licking ass man seriously.

20 Replies*Only adults know what he said in the update is a business disaster. In the current community temperament, he signed off on the wrong side. In a business perspective, Spring update/ road map info was a necessity. Too long since TTK launch, too much competition. And like any business, don't piss off the consumer.

His job is tell us what's happening with the game. For the past 2 updates it's been something along the lines of we'll talk later
-
4 RepliesYou realize his job is, in fact, exactly to make us happy? I am in college studying PR (which is very similar to DEEJ's job) and his job is to tell us what is going on and to turn anything potentially negative into something positive so that the fans are, in fact, happy. Might want to get your facts straight buddy

8 RepliesIf someone worked at a restaurant as a chef, but regularly burnt the food....would he keep his job? It's the same principle.... (I'm not saying he should/ shouldnt be by the way).

People are taking this game way to seriously. Yeah its got its issues. But fck man its JUST A FCKING GAME! Who gives a shit at the end? Fck me man you people are a crazy bunch O mutha Fukas. People are cocks

11 RepliesTake a look at this forum and tell me that a sarcastic asshole isn't the community manager we all deserve.

"We shoot the messenger." - motto of the destiny forums

Deej follows orders. We can't blame him.
-
2 RepliesI think DeeJ is the equivalent of a used cars salesman but none of this is his fault, he's got nothing to do with executive decisions.
-
Who's
that dbag
-
10 RepliesI do and I'm a full grown adult and I say he should lose his job not because I don't like him but because he sucks at his job
-
1 ReplyI like DeeJ even more after that comment. They are doing the best they can. People complain but when they announce news, people will be saying thank you to Bungie
-
It was just banter

I'm 17. IDGAF.
-
Thank you for posting this. These -blam!-in kids dont understand shit.
-
I think the problem is that most people see Deej as the head of Bungie. When in reality he is just the community manager who is at the mercy of the executives with what he is able to share with us. Granted everything could have been handled better, he has been the punching bag of the community since launch. I'm sure I'd throw in sarcasm to maintain my sanity as well.

Edited by GOAT Spartan: 3/13/2016 6:30:07 PMFire luke smith. Is that too much to ask?
-
Edited by TrulyDontCare: 3/13/2016 2:39:41 PMI completely agree. Something like that could potentially ruin somebody's life. They want this done all because he made a friendly joke. That's pretty -blam!-ed up. They're either kids or -blam!-ing sociopaths.
Probably both. Let's be honest, all kids and teenagers are basically sociopaths.
1 ReplyThank you! I feel sorry for the guy, he can only give out information that has been approved, everyone should know that!
-
It's funny because DeeJ is just the face of the community, he does nothing more than present the news that Bungie want him to and interact with the community, yet people have built up some idea that he's the head honcho over at Bungie and he gets all the shit.
-
Smug yes but just a puppet as much higher are pulling his strings.

3 RepliesTeens? what age, under 13? If so then yes.

Hey, y'all. I figured the guy with the duck was kidding. Thought I'd take a moment to kid back. No offense intended to any of you at all. I don't want to be the guy who disappears in between major announcements. When I showed up at Bungie, there was nothing at all to talk about. We had yet to even whisper the name Destiny. But we still found ways to have some fun together. That's never gonna stop. I hope. I know you want more content. I know the people at Bungie who are working on that stuff. They have some good ideas and I'm looking forward to introducing them to you so that they can share them. They have a few more questions to answer before I bring you into the space where you can know what we know. In the meantime, we're supporting the game you bought and finding ways to try and entertain on Twitch. There's no substitute for fresh aliens to kill, but the fact of the matter is that I like you people too much to stay away until I have an update to reveal. I promise I'll start telling stories about the future when I know they won't change. This has been demanded of me in the past. In the meantime, please be kind to animals, and please be excellent to each other. You can be mean to me if it helps. I actually kinda like it. Love, DeeJ.
