I don't really see a problem with them telling us this stuff. The only real problem I see our content miners looking for stuff and spoiling new weapons and armor. I honestly don't want to be surprised either because, well we all set are expectations to high.
I also think that they should release new content before everyone is even leveled up so their is so much more stuff to do!
great posts all!

Bungie is f*cked either way if they do or don't tell their community about the future. It's the communities fault for this not bungie. The hype built around destiny since the very beginning and every expansion or dlc has let people down 2 weeks after the release of the dlc. If bungie does say something about the future, everyone is going to hate it regardless cause it's not going to be enough to keep players satisfied, just as all the previous dlc has also done. The vanilla game was fun for everyone for 2 weeks before people got stuck at the soft level cap of 29. Then this happened again at the dark below dlc, HoW and Kings fall. The first 2 weeks were amazing but severely lacking in content and I don't think it has anything to do with bungie themselves, it's just how empty destiny itself is. The assets in game are few and far between compared to other games. So bungie is probably struggling trying to make something with how little they have to work with and creating new assets from scratch is time consuming. All the previous expansions were pre made prior to the release of the vanilla game and just needed to be added in with some patches so all they had to do was add in enemies and quest mechanics. Now they have to do all that and from scratch and also more than likely work on Destiny 2 as their main project and destiny 1 a background project. Very similar to how Bethesda worked on fallout 3 in the background while making elder scrolls 4 and once elder scrolls 4 was done, they shifted all their work towards fallout 3. Then once fallout 3 was done, work immediately shifted to skyrim and so forth.

There is no plan.

They could tell us.. But they don't have time to explain why they don't have time to explain.

Edited by Reina Storm: 3/13/2016 9:29:11 PMHere is a direct quote from DeeJ talking about why they haven't revealed what is coming just yet.
..... I know you want more content. I know the people at Bungie who are working on that stuff. They have some good ideas and I'm looking forward to introducing them to you so that they can share them. They have a few more questions to answer before I bring you into the space where you can know what we know. In the meantime, we're supporting the game you bought and finding ways to try and entertain on Twitch. There's no substitute for fresh aliens to kill, but the fact of the matter is that I like you people too much to stay away until I have an update to reveal. I promise I'll start telling stories about the future when I know they won't change. This has been demanded of me in the past..... Love, DeeJ.
There is more to this quote, which is why I put the dots before and after, but the rest of the quote was referencing the joke in the end of the most recent TWAB. I quoted what was relevant to your question. EDIT: here is the post I quoted. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/196182857/0/0/1

Its a competitive marketplace. Thats why. Because plans are often construed as promised. Thats why. Chill out bruh.
-
Because even they give you a road map with say, spring update to boost light, a fall DLC and Destiny 2 in 2017, apparently y'all are too stupid to read that as a plan. WTF do you need every little detail for, all u need to know is there is more stuff coming.
-
Because they actually have no plan
-
I'd like to hear the year 2 roadmap as much as the next guy. The only reason I can see why they'd be so secretive about it is there isn't a whole lot to be excited about. It is what it is. There are other games to play for a while until something happens with destiny.
-
It's either gonna blow things out of the water or its all over. Either way, I'm ok with this.
-
The weekly updates are quite disappointing
-
Maybe it has to do with world domination? Kind of a bad spoiler to unleash to the fans imo
-
They might not know themselves
-
If we're expected to pay for something, Bungie, you better believe we have a right to know what is going on with it. If your plan is to take money on blind promises and faith, then you're taking the piss if you expect players to pay for something they have had no clear explanation of what it contains. If you simply want to keep future plans quiet, that's cool, but as soon as you put a price on something and expect us to hand over the cash, you had better have some freakin' details about what our money is buying us.

3 RepliesEdited by premo253: 3/13/2016 1:26:52 AMThere are honestly only a couple of reasons why they wouldn't. 1. They don't have one and are currently making it as we speak. 2. They know the plan is underwhelming and they want to delay the disappointment. 3. They believe that not telling the community creates HYPE and thus will not tell us. 4. They cannot disclose any information regarding paid expansions (WHICH BUNGIE THIS SPRING UPDATE IS A LIVE EVENT AND SHOULDN'T FALL UNDER THAT RULE) due to contract with Activision. Oh or they are just pricks who like to hold the power.

Because you can't use the correct form of there. In this case you should use the form "their".

3 RepliesBecause Trump will make America great again he is not going to spoil all of his plans. He has said he has a plan just wait till he gets to office then he'll tell us. #Trump2016

Is because business strategies, business plans, agreements with activision, board of directors consensus, shareholders approval, market analysis results, competitiveness, all legal paper work in place, etc... Seems simple but its not.
-
Because they don't have one...
-
Activision.
-
They have just had massive turnover in employees. My guess is if they had a plan, they scrapped it.
-
1 ReplyProbably because they dont have a plan
-
Because their and I mean their plan is not finished-__-
