I don't really see a problem with them telling us this stuff. The only real problem I see our content miners looking for stuff and spoiling new weapons and armor. I honestly don't want to be surprised either because, well we all set are expectations to high.
I also think that they should release new content before everyone is even leveled up so their is so much more stuff to do!
great posts all!

1 ReplyHonestly, I think it has more to do with Activision than it does bungie. Since they are financing the development, they handle the marketing and by extension, control the flow of information. There is also trepidation about meeting reasonable expectations ; if they announce something early, and don't deliver, people will be more pissed than ever. Also, think strategically about the competition ; the division is brand new, and will bring a large portion of Destiny players into their world. Activision knows this, and is giving people time to devour that content. When things start to get stale and repetitive, THEN they make a big reveal, start the hype train and lure back more frustrated players from the division between their content cycles.

1 ReplyThey don't have a plan. I'm not being a dick either. It is clear that they have no idea.
-
Because they themselves don't know
-
1 ReplyEdited by JasonX1: 3/17/2016 2:55:58 AMBecause, not everything is finalized, yet. If they did reveal everything right now, and then some minute detail changed at the last minute, the whole community would accuse Bungie of lying. Again. Bungie now has to play everything close to the vest, because of how toxic this community can be. This secretiveness is the community's fault. Blame yourselves.

Why would they speak to a monkey?

Edited by F GGY TIME: 3/17/2016 2:20:54 AMTheir is nothing coming anytime soon I feel like, just empty promises of spring content... I was excited but after the past 3 weeks it has faded significantly, I don't play much anymore anyways. Used to play everyday but now it's like eh, not much to do on there. I'm not going to grind through the raid 3x every week anymore just to try and get 320 class item that will never drop. Bungie do something FFS

So they can change stuff up if they need. If they tell us they and need to take something out, we would be disappointed

1 ReplyEdited by Anthica54: 3/17/2016 2:13:11 AMI think they are ready for the update for the most part. They know they have lots of players over on the division side of the fence right now. And I am hearing a lot of people have already burned through all the content and are getting bored. The taken king was a hyped onslaught of marketing -blam!- for everyone's eyes. I know, I was pretty hyped too. And what happened? We all got it, we enjoyed it, played the funk out of it and now we are bored. The division is living that right now. They do have a nice content line up though. So I don't think bungie will be doing too much over hyping for a while. They are sitting back watching everyone suck the division dry. The new update I feel will be better than tdb and how. I'm hoping it's a bigger deal than they are letting on. Be patient guardians... the answers are coming. Edit
I did not know they censored our posts for us. Lol! The blam! Is a word that rymes with ....grape
Because if they say "we are coming out with A, B, C and D" and instead come out with A, B, C and a slight variation of D the community will erupt in rage and accuse Bungie of lying to their players. They're damned if they do and damned if they don't.

314 RepliesBecause plans change. Name a developer that does share their plan.

1 ReplyEdited by SamuraiSloth_: 3/15/2016 2:28:02 PMBecause if it changes slightly everyone starts calling them lairs.
-
3 RepliesBecause this community would rip bungie a new one if even the smallest change to their "plan" happens. "Oh in that content release the wall was red now it's blue? Bloody hell bungie stop lying to your fans!!!" Honestly I feel like most people here should take a break from destiny and play other games to see if that helps with their toxicity about this game and bungie. The gaming part of this forum is also pretty toxic with the division so idk if that break will really help destiny or just hurt other games.

2 RepliesBecause there is none..

Because, they don't want to tell us what they're creating and then not be able to deliver exactly what they've said. I think they'll be a decent amount of content coming, but I doubt that it'll be a raid. I bet they'll go a somewhat easy route of being Y1 content up to date with Y2 leveling and possibly taken enemies. They'll likely also be some new story missions and strikes as well.

Activision

4 RepliesThey have an NDA with Activision. I personally would rather not see Bungie sued for several million dollars because they told us their plan.

Edited by bilbo t baginzz: 3/15/2016 1:23:02 AMBecause its a huge secret...
There is no future plan
But seriously lets remember back to when TTK was coming out... it was announced ages before it was released and the hype train was at full speed yet here we are still with no news... my guess is we are 3 to 4 months out from new content maybe even more because isnt this DLC also meant to be bigger then TTK dlc?
-
I have a plan
-
I don't think they have a plan
-
Weren't they honest to their fans before they paired with activision
-
3 RepliesThey are planing of thinking of a plan to plan in the future.
-
Great question. A just and valid question.
-
There is always someone who will be dissatisfied with something...ironic life ^_^
-
Cause the plan will ultimately be a let down.... And why spoil the fun at this point! ( I'm jaded with many aspects of the game I really like destiny. Oh well Back to warframe lol)
-
1 ReplyBecause if they say something and it changes people will flip out saying you promised this and it isn't there. For example they say there will be 6 missions 2 strikes and a raid but turns out its 5 missions 1 strike and raid people will bitch I was promised 2 strikes 6 missions
-
Yeah, why would they? They have nothing to gain by releasing info about anything. The second that anything in the game turns out to be any different than what bungie shows in "preview"........then we rip them to shreds here in the forums.
