People are leaving in droves, Bungie, and your silence isn't helping.
No, this isn't a Division thread. I actually hate third person shooters. I literally played it for 5 minutes and said "nope, I can't do this."
Anyways, now that we've got that out of the way...
Please feel free to speak up if you disagree, but judging by the forums, my friends list, and the 10 minute wait times just to find 5 other players for a Skirmish match...the Destiny community is dwindling.
No...NO, I did not say "Destiny is dead." (For those of you who struggle with seeing things as they are and not what you want them to be.)
I know there are still tons of people playing. But not nearly as many as when TTK dropped. I realize I could be totally wrong. For all I know, the numbers haven't changed at all. But in cases like this, perception is everything.
And as far as I can tell, people are packing their bags and skipping town.
Bungie...you need to give us something. Screw throwing us a bone. It's too late for that. For the people who still care, (I don't) you're going to have to give actual, specific details.
What you're planning, when it's scheduled to be rolled out, what the cost will be. Everything.
No more of the same old "next week" song and dance. Or even worse, the "We've got all these juicy details but can't tell you" nonsense. That's not working anymore.
It's been "next week" since December. It's March...and the players are fed up.
But hey, what do I know? You guys are the experts. I'm just some random guy on the internet.
Oh, and buff fusion rifles.

Lol I came from #offtopic after putting destiny down years ago to tell you this. Destiny isn't leaving anytime soon bro. These posts have been around since the game started. Nothing new. As long as there are people who's willing to sacrifice 67% of their social life to spending meaningless hours playing the same mission over and over again in a weekend night for a piece of armor that'll be useless in the next few months...there will be destiny

Edited by PRINCE_ALI_1985: 3/12/2016 9:00:35 PMI left Destiny ((for now)) because there is nothing to do except PvP & ToO ((I'm a PvE player manly I don't play PvP that much and I'm not that interesting in ToO)). The Division was everything I hoped for as an RPG player but the grind and difficult in that game is not for the faint of heart. I'm a Lv30 with all slots equipped high-end power Lv31 gear ((exotic in Destiny)) I am getting ready for Incursion coming next month. I don't see my self coming back to Destiny because -Gearing up means nothing outside of the H.raid -worst weapons than Y1 -PvP is the only thing to do anymore -Vex & Fusions are bad and not moved to Y2 -no new content & weapons -Bungie nerf stuff constantly making our experience worst Don't get me wrong I like Destiny but if this coming update is not good I won't play this game until Destiny 2 is out.

3 Replies"Silence is Golden" That saying might be right for somethings, and it had worked for them in the beginning, but you are right about them needing to say more, but they've been told that over and over, and they haven't listened. Good write-up, it's too bad they don't seem to want to change their modus operandi. While they have always claimed that they are listening, there is a big difference between listening and hearing. But since they make all these claims, along with telling us that they are always watching what we are doing, maybe they need a Bible lesson, as there is a statement that fits them pretty well: Mark 4:12 (NIV) "'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!'"

its gone downhill ever since update 2.0 took everyones guns away and TTK locked everything we already bought behind a paywall, people are seeing the light, and guess what, the traveler was intended to be evil in the original story, bungie is the traveler and it is evil, thats the secret of destiny, they convinced you the traveler was a good guy, while they behind the scenes enacted the very destruction of all things capable of the darkness that the traveler wanted. guardians are susceptible to the darkness so they must be exterminated. bungie managed to do just that, more than half the community left when update 2.0 hit and more are leaving every day. thats the grandmaster plan, kill all the legacy guardians so when they release destiny 2, theyll have a fresh community to try again where no one remembers the horrors of destiny 1.

9 RepliesSome one posted about Warframe so I thought I would try it. LOVED it and have not been back to Destiny and my frustration level is so much lower this days. Just try Warframe or some other game. I have to limit my son's time on destiny cause he gets so irritated . People don't see how toxic it is until they leave.

With the content drought my own play has fluctuated quite a bit I'll admit, but I still play Destiny pretty regularly. My friends playing Destiny on Wednesday's and Thursday's are few and far between, but Friday through Tuesday I never see a shortage of friends playing Trials, Raids and Nightfalls. However when the Iron Banner is in town, forget about it - it's like all hands on deck. It'll be back in full force once they drop an expansion.

2 RepliesI'm in the same boat with the Division. I played the Beta for about 2 hours and just gave up. I despise 3rd person shooters. It doesn't feel like I am in control of my character - I am Pushing them around , not leading them where I want to go. Unfortunately my 2 fire team friends bought the Division and are now only playing that. My friends list today (30+ people online now) are all playing The Division, Far Cry or Primal - not Destiny. No one to play with except randoms and I'm not really interested in that. Crucible is a total lag fest with out dedicated Host Servers and I refuse to play it anymore. If I want to play PvP, I play TitanFall which has real host servers and I NEVER get lag even with miniscule (< 100 people) play list on the less popular games. On the main game sof Attriton or Frontier Defense, I can always find a great lag free game where I can test my Skill - not the Destiny hosts connection. So like my friends, I'll move on to. I'll likely check in once in a while but no new PvE content or activities pretty much has made the game of zero interest to anyone. Even bringing back the old strikes or Raid into circulation would have helped.

Theres a new game out. People always leave other games for new games. Whats wrong with people leaving for other games? I know i like to play more than one game. New content is coming, when it comes ill play Destiny more than average again. Why wouldnt you want to play more than one game??? It doesnt mean they dont like Destiny, its just fun... Why does everything have to be so dramatic....

I agree even if all you do is raise the light levels of the old raids and Poe at least it'll give us something else to do other than do challenge mode when bugger off until next reset each week.

Couple things that would get me to come back and play (besides new content): 1. Raid gear drops at MAX level, everytime. Not just challenge mode. I prefer having to level it like Y1. It's been 6-7 months, we should be striving for horizontal gains, not vertical. 2. Weekly activities every week - IB one week, SRL the next, PvE Event, then some other event. We need things to do... 3. Loosen up the RNG. Let loot rain. Should never have the possibility of going through Oryx and get nothing save the challenge rewards. Or using 20 M shards only to be rewarded with 2. 4. Numbers are dwindling. It's only natural given the timeframe. But we should [i]never [/i]be patrolling an empty zone or empty CoO (you said CoO would be this gathering place of Guardians coming together to maul some Hive baddies - still waiting for that). Improve your matching servers. Move me into a populated server so those of us playing solo, either always or just at that moment, may have a better chance of taking down Taken Ultras/Champions (For our Quests) or completing Tier 2-3 CoO bosses (not all of us are MLG solo players).
