4 days away from losing a massive portion of your player base and this is the best you can come up with? Seriously? Not even a single, solitary hint of what is to come. I don't feel bad at all for leaving. I won't miss this at all once The Division drops. I don't know what happened Bungie, but you've changed. In a matter of 18 months you've had one of the quickest falls from grace I have ever seen a developer have, and it is completely of your own doing. Your community is begging you for reasons not to leave and it's like you don't even care. You've been repeating the same thing over and over for weeks now as if it somehow will relieve the cries for information. It's not surprising, however, given the complete and utter PR disaster you've been since you handed Luke the reigns last summer. You've become the developer that other devs watch when they want to know how not to treat their players. I once stood up for you.. I no longer will. You have lost one of your most loyal and dedicated fans. I hope you come to your senses soon, because you desperately need to.

PS: I got no enjoyment out of the composition of this post. This is a sad day, not only for me but the community as a whole. I feel like I am leaving a good friend behind because he is no longer the kind of person I want to associate myself with. Sad, very sad.
Edit: Glad this is trending at #1. Maybe some devs will actually see it. I don't think I've ever seen an "I'm leaving" post reach the #1 spot.. Thank you to all of you who agree with me, and an I'm sorry to those who don't.
Edit 2: Can't even get the damn weekly update out on time now.. Smdh.. They embarrass themselves more every single day.

3 RepliesI normally slam people for posting they are leaving and comparing to other games etc. But OP has a point... I get paid this week and Division is looking VERY tempting right now. Only thing preventing it is the time I have sunk into Destiny. That time commitment that people like myself don't want to leave behind is slowly starting to dwindle though.

just stop giving them chances and leave. you are just going to put yourself in to more misery trying to change something you cannot. stop leaving bungie on a pedestal and saying " oh they disappoint me" or "they fallen from grace". its a company to make money. they do not care if you don't like a certain community manager or lack of content what drive them is $

I've taken a hiatus from Destiny, decided to pick up on some of the games I had missed over the past year that I couldn't find the time for due to playing this game. I sincerely hope they will learn from their mistakes and will tempt us all back in the future.

4 RepliesThere probably at some weird stand point where there trying to decide what to give us, what not to put out, how much to charge us, etc ... bungie is a business first don't forget that. and with all video games there comes a point where a majority of the players go to other games and it gets left behind for a while.

Personally I just downloaded warframe.... I will give that a whirl for while. I'm sure it's a grind but kinda frustrated with the old big D right now.

Well, maybe they have the actual number(which they will not disclose)on how many days/hours players are logged in real time. Maybe its more than what we think. Maybe they haven't lost a huge number of players? Who knows. Maybe they have lost a lot of players and know once the new content is released, their player base will come right back. Overconfident? Maybe. But I agree. At least give us something other than these bs updates.

For some reason bungie hasnt promoted this new dlc like they did with the previous ones, why? Do they not understand that a fan base needs something to look forward too to continue playing the game. And whats worse is that a game that can take a big portion of their fan base away is less than a week away and they still dont say anything about the next dlc. Did they go brain dead or something?

1 ReplyI've been on a break for a while playing other games. The longer I'm away the less I care about Destiny though, and they should have planned better. Raids, weapons, armor, and PoE irrelevant from year one was a huge mistake.

2 RepliesWhy do people seem to think everyone cares that you're leaving the game?. Everyone knows Destiny is lacking content right now, so do something else until more is available. I myself am playing destiny less and with summer on the way I might go months without playing, Does that mean Destiny is crap or Bungie is bad? Not at all I just wait until it's ready.

All these "You will be back" like for what exactly? Lol There is absolutely nothing going on for destiny and you think people will come back especially when there are plenty of games that are better/more fun than this steaming pile of fecal matter?

Great post. I know I will be enjoying the division soon enough, with a glance over the shoulder at destiny and wishing it didn't come to this. I know I will play both once they get something, anything other than banner, trials, or srl in the game So long as it's not another pvp event, but as I've said in prior posts the division wasn't even on my radar because of Ubisoft since after black flag but with nothing to do on destiny I preordered the division on Amazon to get into the closed beta and absolutely loved it. Not having anything interesting to do anymore in destiny caused this. Il be back like I said, the game when it's going and your with friends remains entertaining.
