And, to point out the elephant in the room (and the salt in our chat window), we know we’re on the hook to tell you more about the next things we’ll do to infuse your PvE lifestyle with new challenges. Those shows are being planned, too. Hang in there and we’ll create some renewed urgency to discharge your favorite weapon in the direction of some aliens.

Dear Bungie,
4 days away from losing a massive portion of your player base and this is the best you can come up with? Seriously? Not even a single, solitary hint of what is to come. I don't feel bad at all for leaving. I won't miss this at all once The Division drops. I don't know what happened Bungie, but you've changed. In a matter of 18 months you've had one of the quickest falls from grace I have ever seen a developer have, and it is completely of your own doing. Your community is begging you for reasons not to leave and it's like you don't even care. You've been repeating the same thing over and over for weeks now as if it somehow will relieve the cries for information. It's not surprising, however, given the complete and utter PR disaster you've been since you handed Luke the reigns last summer. You've become the developer that other devs watch when they want to know how not to treat their players. I once stood up for you.. I no longer will. You have lost one of your most loyal and dedicated fans. I hope you come to your senses soon, because you desperately need to.

PS: I got no enjoyment out of the composition of this post. This is a sad day, not only for me but the community as a whole. I feel like I am leaving a good friend behind because he is no longer the kind of person I want to associate myself with. Sad, very sad.
Edit: Glad this is trending at #1. Maybe some devs will actually see it. I don't think I've ever seen an "I'm leaving" post reach the #1 spot.. Thank you to all of you who agree with me, and an I'm sorry to those who don't.
Edit 2: Can't even get the damn weekly update out on time now.. Smdh.. They embarrass themselves more every single day.

Edited by MEGANAUTe: 3/4/2016 11:14:55 PMWhy is Bungie being so duuuuumb? So sad.
-
Agreed. Well said

Guh.....yet another "I'm leaving....Division will kill...." post. My favorite line in this post is "I don't know what happened Bungie, but you've changed" Breakups are tough. But to quote BB Rodgriquez: "Call me old-fashioned, but I like a dump to be as memorable as it is devastating." So, who gets the kids in this divorce? Can I come live with you?

This is all that can be voiced.
-
I, too, have moved on. I haven't deleted my characters, but I have deleted the game from my console.
-
Buh-bye.
-
So uh- they don't care for one and for two, this post will "magically" stop bumping up each comment in about and hour- or when ever some mod gets and reads it

I too am disappointed. I was hoping for a reason to return. No such luck, The focus on PVP has ruined Destiny for those of us that are PvE fans. IMHO Weapons tuning has made the game BORING. I played almost everyday year one. There's nothing to look forward to in this game. Year one was so much fun now there aren't any weapons or gear worth spending the time on to get. so sad.

Week three player here and I agree with you
-
2 RepliesI have a year 2 player in my clan who said, when the division beta was out, he wasn't getting TD because he had so much left he wanted to do in Destiny. Just last night he was asking if TD was any good because he was already getting bored and looking for something new to play.

1 ReplyYou have 45 days played on your characters. Dude it is ok to play other games. I think you got your monies worth out of this game already. Take a break and come back guardian.

10 RepliesWill Ted Cruz feed on a diet of cocaine boogies until the 8th?
-
3 RepliesThis happened with Fallout and Blops 3.. You all will come back at the next big content updateXD

I put aside what people think on this forum. Even though the sensible ones are right (You OP!). I go outside from time to time. While shopping, glance at the gaming mags. They ALL have a "Will The Division kill Destiny?" article. Some of it on the front page of the mag. Speaks volumes doesn't it? I wonder if Bungie go out shopping too? See you in the DZ.

1 ReplyGot the division gold edition. Goodbye destiny it was a blast
-
Amen to that.
-
Completely agree. I won't be buying the division for a few months, but bungie has given players absolutely nothing. END THE DROUGHT BUNGIE. DO IT NOW.

You know, I don't read these post to much cause there pretty much the same shit. People bitching about the game. I've been playing this game since the dark below DLC. I liked the game a lot cause it was fun, entertaining and all around a good game to play. Over the last yr. this is the only game I've played for the most part. I read where it's a ten yr. game so I thought this would be cool to watch and play through it's life to see where it goes. Well I don't think I'll make it to the end cause this game is GOING NOWHERE!! It's not challenging to play and every time xur sells a new exotic everyone only uses it. What happened to the guns being rare or hard to get for the most part. I played for a long time before I seen an exotic engram, and now the game shits them out like yellow terds! That is some of the lots of reasons I don't want to play.

The idea that silence is golden is definitely not intended for a companies PR team. They need to include their players more, rather than just telling us, "Oh, it's going to be real great guys. This thing we're working on it's working and just wonderful. What a wonderful thing."

I agree with OP. I have had very similar feelings. I sunk a ton of time into destiny. More than any other game. And I loved every min, most of it. Lol. But I stop at around Nov, only came back recently for the 320 ghost during Crimson. I've been playing many other games since then. Spent hundreds of dollars on games. Guess where that money would have gone had I new content for Destiny, yeah Bungie. I don't hate Bungie, I just don't think they have sound business judgement and some questionable ethics. I am cautiously optimistic, it's why I keep checking back. I'm hoping they bring out more content, but it might just be too little too late. Especially with The Division in a few days and the awesome road map they announced. Bungie promised me a 10 yr game. They said I'd be getting constant content and updates. I haven't gotten anything. I lied to my wife, I won't be playing this for 10 yrs.
