Faction rank 25
Please destiny this is a rediculous feet anyone to reach. Anyone else agree. For 3 characters is to much. Please lower the exotic reward level

On my Titan I'm over 25 for both dead orbit and FWC. I'm working on new monarchy now (sitting at 11).

There are posts about how to get faction rep fastest: Weapon parts from gunsmith Whatever materials they want Motes of light Heavy ammo from Variks if you have Ether seeds Heavy ammo from Xur if you have nothing else to spend Strange Coins on It still takes weeks to get up to rank 25 on each faction from scratch. I'm doing it as well. At least we can't complain that there's nothing left to do in Destiny

I never really tried to rank up my faction until TTK. So I dumped materials into it. Also the best place for rep is patrol as you get mats from public events and collecting them. Then you have patrol missions which provide a nice amount of rep.

Use motes, they give you tons of xp and drop faster than candy on Halloween

Personally I don't think it's too bad. Year 1 I exclusively levelled vanguard. Year 2 I set a character to each faction. It didn't take long to get lock to 25 FWC although it did cost me in motes/strange coins. Other than them stacking in my vault - what else are they good for?

8 RepliesMost of you who have super high faction levels got most of those levels during y1 when it was WAY faster and easier to get ranks. Now, aside from turning in items that newer players need elsewhere, it is INCREDIBLY slow and difficult to rank up factions. 37 rep per bounty turn it (and that's the max for bounties) I agree it's really really dumb, because if you didn't focus on factions in y1, or if you started in y2, you are screwed.

2 RepliesI quickly ranked up from 10 with my hunter to 25 DO Tuesday due to motes and donations (haven't done strikes been focusing on IB) Hints: PoE >gives good motes even without a key. >If you have the TTK exotic class items that have a basic exp boost equip it for quicker lvl up motes. > have throw away items> equip, get the exp to unlock all nodes> dismantle> ???> motes Glimmer: > people say heavy syths bought at gunsmith> donate (I opted for weapon parts) CoO: > equip a ghost shell that gives bonus wormspore on dreadnought engram pickup and hive/taken kill glimmer generation. And for the love of the traveler equip a game mode appropriate class item (vanguard boost for pve crucible for pvp)

Yes, change it to 10. I don't know why they don't have Vanguard or Crucible rep gain.

1 ReplyI thought the same thing....I was leveling the traditional way...bounties and such.... until I researched it and learned from other Guardians that using motes of light to buy rep was very effective. I went from about a 10 to a 25 in 1-2 weeks using mostly motes of light.... and the faction packages were great. I had over 1000 motes between my three characters. Heavy ammo is the second best way to buy rep. I did not need to use heavy ammo. I only did this on one character though. Not real interested in doing the others. I think it should stay at 25 or it will go from exotic to a common everyday bore. Try leveling by motes.

I just buy heavy ammo from xur. I got 500 heavy ammo, 200+ motes, and a bunch of weapon pointa for fwc on monday.
