You're the one who thinks something that takes more skill should do less damage.. How does that make sense to you? And don't use "because bungie said", bungie doesn't have all the answers. Even in real life a sniper is more devastating up close than a shotgun. If you have a real reason I could understand but you haven't given a valid reason yet.

You still don't have a good reason. You have not brought forward a single fact as to why snipers should do less damage at close range. Do you know how arguments work?

The funny thing is that I never said snipers should do less damage up close. I only said that snipers should be at a disadvantage at close and medium range. Personally I think getting hip while scoped should revert your accuracy to hipfire accuracy for .5 seconds.

My main question in original comment was "why should they be weak up close?" You replied "because snipers are supposed to be weak up close." If I were to make something weaker I'd be taking away damage. I agree with the second part of the last comment though. Honestly I don't care if they took away some damage. As long as a head shot is killing everyone without over shields with a low impact sniper (at any range) then I don't care.

I meant weaker in a general sense. Hardlight is weak at long range for example, even though it has no fall off
