Of course there is a server... I hate having to explain what they are for over and over again, so look what servers are used for in online games. Also, research the location of the Destiny servers.

let me rephrase that: there are no dedicated servers for pvp only, as far as i know we currently have one host in a pvp match that everyone connects to and its usually the guy with the best connection but obviously some people are going to have trouble connecting to him because of their location. if the server location would be the actual root of the problem pve would be -blam!-ed as well wouldn't it? thats what ive been told/reading so far so correct me if im wrong.

Edited by HyperVigiIant: 2/22/2016 4:26:22 PMDo some research on dedicated servers, especially on how having multiple dedicated servers in different regions is more conducive to a fair online gaming experience. Also, do some research on what a server does in a multiplayer game, especially in regards to sending and receiving information about player's actions. Then think about how even the smallest delay in the time it takes for information about a player's actions to be sent and received can have a significant impact on how much time he has to react to change compared to a person with less of a delay. Also, think about why the amount of times it takes to do this will make a difference in a game (especially one that has one shot kill weapons). Look at how servers compensate for latency when people live in different locations too. It's less of an issue in PVE because the AI enemies are programmed to do things; they are more predictable than human controlled players. I'm not trying to sound patronising, but do some research for yourself. Let's not argue because it's pointless.
