Be honest with yourself. Physical shape, social life, studying, esc are the factors to consider.

Up at 5:30 even at weekend so there ain't a lot to do for 3 hours or so at weekends - could do a lot of stuff in those 3 hours a day (do a degree, do post grad, do a professional qualification, learn Visual Basic, become a 2nd degree instructor in Kung fu) hmmmm done all that - I just wanna play games and relax until the other half kicks me off the Xbox.

Na case if I want something...that's what I go get. Right now, and for the past year, I've been a couch potato. Coming soon I'll be a certified divemaster and be getting /in shape for helping instructors teach scuba. It's all a matter of personal perspective and what's important to you.
-
I would end up doing worse, as it is literally the only alone time I get and it relieves stress.

Productive? Maybe. Better? No. I have a job I enjoy that pays well, I workout and eat healthy and I do something with friends every once in a while. Everyone has their hobby, games are mine.
-
Eh, I go to uni, I go out like every weekend, I need gaming because it's my peaceful alone time which I very much enjoy/need. I don't think my life would be vastly different with or without it.
-
1 ReplyYes, but you know what they say, light before life
-
Honestly yes. I play video games because I'm a nihilistic antisocial punk with no drive to better myself or complete actual life goals. If I stop playing video games I might actuality have to face reality and the thought of that legitimately scares me.

Fake smoggy is still fake.
sums up destiny is 5 words
-
I'd be worse because videogames are how I help with stress about school and other things
-
I do the max with physical stuff already. And still play hella games. But nothing would improve. I'd find another excuse to not do my homework (:
-
No. But it would be if I quit Destiny I think I'm going to. Kinda sad. Great game, but Bungie (my childhood heroes) fûck you every turn. Now the grind of infusion is here. I can't keep doing this
-
1 ReplyThe legend of SmoggyPluto lives
-
I would probably have a girlfriend instead I have a 320 Hunter. :/ The grind is real on here.
-
I'm athletic and active during the day and only play at night. My girl is also a gamer so I enjoy the awesomeness of both worlds on that front :-)
-
Quiting destiny yes, quit gaming never

1 ReplyI've grown up around video games, and I've been gone serving in the military for months/years a time without them. Life goes on. Games are a hobby, entertainment, an escape - not unlike reading a book, watching TV/movie, or playing a sport (including all sports - motorsports, etc...). This question could be asked the same for any of those, and my response would be - unequivocally - No, my life would not be better. The key is balance, as in all things in life.
-
i have .. and it was just replaced with something else ....
-
1 ReplyNope. Everyone needs a way to destress and this is mine. Favorite hobby besides reading. I can fit in exercise, studying, work and family. It's all about finesse baby!
-
Mine would if you did
-
Nope, it's my hobby
-
I would probably be a raging alcoholic cause I would have so much more money. Game in is a pretty expensive hobby. Keeps me out of trouble
-
If there wasn't as much lag, less frustrating. I'd be a lot more bored
-
Well I have a baby due in September. So I'm sure I'll find out...
-
2 RepliesWhat did you use to fill the void in your life that Destiny once was?
-
video games arent really a problem, the thing is when it becomes an addiction.
