I didn't play the first beta, but can you effectively play this game alone? It seems like something that really stresses having a team.

Yes ubisoft said that you can play the game entirely solo. Only the end game content would be incredibly hard to do solo.

Edited by PizzaMan725: 2/18/2016 4:00:21 PMPlayed the closed beta for 20+ hours, played most of that time running solo in the DZ. So I'd say it's just fine playing the game solo. Edit: you just have to play smart

1 ReplyWait is there an open beta?

5 RepliesI've been playing solo for the last couple hrs and had no real issues enemy crowds can be tough but stick to cover and use your abilities. As for the DZ have been killed a couple times by rogues or just a random douche or two but all in all nothing's happened that annoyed me. Solo is fine a Team is better but solo is fine.

Edited by DirtiestKnave61: 2/18/2016 3:11:51 PMYes pve absolutely, the dark zone can also be done solo, avoid teams though and if you are approached by a team you may want to look at their backs and see if they have loot or not, if not I recommend you get away ASAP

4 RepliesYou can solo. The PVE missions scale the number and difficulty of the enemies to the number of players in the party. I would not however: 1. Do the missions on Hard unless you are either really over-leveled or a serious bad-ass. Going to hard mode (at least in the closed beta) led to a SIGNIFANT increase in the difficulty of the missions. Enemies in crease in number, power, aggressiveness, and tactical ability. 2. Go into the Dark Zone solo. As a solo player you are simply the hunted, rather than a hunter. Extractions become really dicey, and you're just target practice for rogue grouprs or would-be rogues. I would group up if you can. Doing missions on hard difficulty gets you better drops. There are more options for tactical play in a group. ...and the DZ is a lot more fun, and a lot more satisfying as a play experience when you're part of a group.

Yes, played the closed beta pretty much solo. The DZ gets a little tricky. For the most part I have had no problems but everyone and a while you come across "that one guy" or team.

Good luck sending packages back in the dark zone

You will be fine on your own. I played the closed beta alone and i did just fine. Just make sure to use cover.
-
You can play solo, but in dark zones be aware of your surroundings dark zones.

Yeah. Just watch your ass in DZ

3 RepliesMissions scale with players, so in PvE missions 1 player might have 4 enemies but 2 players will have 8. So solo is pretty easy in PvE. In the Darkzone I found it a lot harder but a lot more fun. There's 2 things you want to know going in the Darkzone solo. 1. Pick your battles. If a group of 4 rogue agents are extracting fighting wouldn't be wise. If a group of 4 rogue agents are in the middle of the streets fighting NPC's then there's your perfect ambush opportunity. 2. Learn who to trust. Just because a player is cooperating doesn't mean they'll do that forever. For example you and 3 other solo players might group up to take down rogue agents, but what's to stop them from turning and killing you once they're dead? If you choose your battles and your allies well playing solo is no problem, I played almost exclusively solo and had tons of fun and did very well.

You can, I did it but a team is much more enjoyable. If you're on xbone, send me a message and I'll join if you want company.

I played it alone throughout the entire time. I put in about 2 solid hours in the dark zone and was able to get the high end AR and a Classic M1 Carbine.

Playing solo is rough but do-able, finding other solo players are easy and there is matchmaking but if you really wanna go solo it's possible, teams of 4 or greater will be more successful though.

It works well alone. It balances out when doing missions. The dark zone is a different story. You just have to pick your battles
