A former Marine became the target of an alleged assault in a McDonald’s Friday night, as a crowd of youths cornered him and demanded he answer the question, “do you believe black lives matter?” Before knocking him unconscious and robbing him.
Christopher Marquez, a veteran of Iraq and recipient of the Bronze Star for valor, said he was dining at a McDonald’s in northwest D.C. when a group of black teenagers came up to him and allegedly began harassing him about the black lives matter movement. Marquez ignored them which prompted calls and shouts that he was a racist.
Marquez left the establishment after eating, but allegedly sustained a sudden blow to the back of his head outside the McDonald’s, which knocked him unconscious. When he woke up, his pants were ripped and wallet gone, which contained $400 in cash, three credit cards, his VA medical card, school identification, metro card and driver’s license.
"When I was in the Marine Corps, I served with people from many different backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, and races,” Marquez told TheDCNF. “Like all Marines, I fought for the freedom of all Americans and not just one particular group."
This is absolutely disgusting, not only is this not being reported on by the mainstream liberal media (CNN and Washington Post), but some people are actively defending the group of thugs who assaulted him and robbed him.
This goes to show how -blam!-ed up society is, imagine if the roles were reversed, I would imagine another city would be burned down because "muh racism".
EDIT: A video was released today showing the events, though it is not in the best quality, it shows the offenders
EDIT 2: Police have arrested 2 suspects from the incident and ignore that this was a racially motivated crime. They are both 17.

51 RepliesCouple things to keep in mind when you see a story like this.. 1) Not everyone who commits a crime in the name of a movement is actually a part of that movement. If I walk up to you, scream "IN THE NAME OF MICKEY MOUSE!!", then punch you in the face.. my actions are my own. It does not, and should not immediately associate my actions with Disney. Disney did not advocate my violence. Did not ask for my violence. And is most likely just as embarrassed to see their name involved in the situation as anyone else. 2) The simple fact that we are sitting here talking about this particular incident and not the other several hundred black on black crimes that happened on that same day shows exactly what the BLM movement is trying to make public. The BLM movement is not about "we are more important than you" its about "we are just as important as you". It's attempting to point out the obvious bias our society held since the day it way founded. A crime against a middle aged white man or woman is news. A crime against a middle aged black man or woman is a statistic. Personally, I'm on the fence about the whole BLM movement. I think at it's core, its a very good attempt to bring important social issues to light. Things that we as a society have grown to overlook because "well, we gave them their freedom, what else could they possibly want!?!" has become the go-to response toward the black community. When in reality, we show time and time again that we do not treat everyone the same. Not in the media. Not in the judicial system. Not in career advancement. And not in the way we treat each other as people. Bias is still a very real part of our culture. However, I feel that the movement is far too disorganized to be successful. It lacks a clear leader. A clear goal. And has far too many people involved in it who are doing it for the wrong reasons. I literally listened to a BLM "representative" do an interview and she didn't even fully understand what the BLM movement was even about. Just kept repeating the same couple of bulletpoint responses over and over as the interviewer let her speak. Stuff like that happening all over the country is not a good look for the movement at all. Meh, my two cents.

75 RepliesAccording to the FBI crime database in 73% of interracial crime cases the victim is white and the criminal is black I like how the media makes it out as if white people are out here attacking black people when its really the other way around
-
Wow, this makes me so mad, if that had been a white guy who knocked out a black, people would be rioting...

-blam!-ing bullshit. That man went trough time in hell and came back, and he gets robbed and beaten. That's such shit. I bet if had defended himself, they would've called hate crime and he would've gotten into a legal issue too.

Edited by GroundPeak117: 2/20/2016 7:42:14 PMThis is all a total load of shit. They attack him and rob him, but he wouldn't have been able to fight back anyway without getting punished. If he fought back, the group's families would've started calling it a hate crime and more riots would've broken out.

6 RepliesI think it's obvious that some of the BLM participants are using race as an excuse to commit crimes. Same thing happened in Ferguson and Baltimore. It's disgusting.

Edited by ClusiveC: 2/20/2016 4:06:15 AMBunch of dumbass teenagers. Why didn't anyone help him. I agree with what dude Pronged Pickle (weird name) commented - it seems like BLM needs to recognize that they have members using the 'BLM' label as a reason to go about doing stupid shit. They need to just shut down entirely, black people already have the NAACP.
