Why raise the light level... wtf why ... answer bungie
So let me get this straight there is already nothing to do in this game and the loot table is already the worst in gaming history. But bungie in there brilliance thinks hey let's raise the light level for no reason
... it's not a dlc there is no reason for this shit other than to waste more of the players time. This company truly finds a new way to destroy destiny every day.
Apparently I'm an idiot for disagreeing with a meaningless light raise when most haven't even hit 320...
Edit so apparently people have wishful thinking this expansion is gonna have actual content. And not be a higher level vog crota and poe. Bungie already said no more dlc. And yes plans change and the expansion is new but judging from year 2 so far I'll believe content when I see it.

Edit 2. For the record I love the game and my embarrassingly high amount of hours can attest to this. And I hope some of these people are right and there will be real content. Just since ttk any time I've hoped something I've been let down.

Let me explain this because apparently I've been unclear. This spring is an update much like the challenge mode update. There will be some new dumb challenges added . There won't be any new content. If you want to cross your fingers feel free but I've learned this company only let's you down

Someone asked me to back my claim. Just going off past experience bungie claimed we'd only seen 1/7 of the dreadnought and then when challenges came out it was the exact same sh[b]i[/b]t just slightly touched

Look I've spent a shamefully high amount of time with this game and learned a lot along the way. And honestly rule 1 is keep expectations low. Bungie themselves have said this community has a tendency to over hype something. For example the sleeper simulant was the supposed year 2 God weapon that literally resulted in thousands of players dedicating their time to try and find this hidden gun. Only for it to have been a time gate. I recommend you keep your expectations low

2 RepliesI think the argument can be made that bungie have made it no longer a requirement to reach 320 and continue playing cos the next update will change light level caps so I'll get 340 before 320

1 ReplyI cringe at the idea they may actually bring the old raids up to current or even higher light levels.. that could mean our favorite weapons at current levels also.. which again just extends the grind and isn't really added content at all. I would hope they add a few new missions, strikes, possibly new areas to explore and not just rehashed and reskined or backwards ran missions. adding guns and gear will only mean a new balance act will need to take place and that will change the meta to something else... again... the cycle continues..

1 ReplyThe Spring Update will, more than likely, just be revamped old raids. That's fine. You're ignoring the section of the update where they mentioned an expansion in the Fall, after this Spring Update.

1 ReplyDon't care if they make light level 340+. Just as long as I can keep what I've grafted for, and up the light level on my favourite gear. Any pve is welcome in my books, don't care much about OLD gear, just be nice for some change in scenery. [spoiler][/spoiler]

9 RepliesActually it's seriously unlikely that the old raids will be brought up. It's not just a simple switch of weapons and armour fixes. It's a real long process to get rid of the big glitch issues with those weapons and armour. People think "oh it's easy, remove arc burn from Fatebringer and make it year 2, so easy, stupid lazy Bungie" See that arrogant banter is what annoys me. It will take alot of time just to "fix" a weapon, get rid of the special weapon reload on most gauntlets, heavy ammo legendary leg armour, fix Crota armour so holding an empty sword does not glitch and assume you have the Crota sword for that speed buff.... That is alot of work to bring up the old raids and make then relevant. I for one, won't say yet, if they will or won't bring those raids up, it would be cool, but I know if they do, there will be alot of issues with the weapons and armour, also Fatebringer would make the Imago Loop irrelevant also, which is why I assume they won't ever bring back the old raids, among other weapons also like Does not Bow. If they do, it will be alot of work to fix and make the raids relatively similar to Oryxs raid. And with a light level increase, who knows? Maybe all raids will be brought up to par? You never know, Bungie does do solid work, they made an amazing game that is very honourable, I mean you see the ban hammers swinging? I am glad to see most get banned for lag switching and trying to cheat the game. Very happy to see people get what they truly deserve. I won't be surprised if its just an oryx KingsFall buff up, but hey, most didnt assume house of wolves would make the old raid gear relevant also, was amazing seeing Vault of Glass, Crotas End and Prison of Elders armour all fighting in crucible, I didn't even include the factions, Ironbanner and trials of Osiris armour also. That would be great to see in year 2, a full on fight with all armour, I would be super happy to see old weapons come back also, Shadow Price, Zombie Apocalypse, just remove burn primaries and the. Game will be great again.

We're always in the dark when it comes to bungee these days so there's no way to get a beat on what's going on or not Speculation leads to disappointment that's why hype trains are bad for this game

My guess is the spring update will revamp the old Raids with updated light gear, which will be a pathetic case of too little, too late. We wanted the old raids revamped 5 months ago, to do so now is pointless. The only thing that will bring me back to the game is new, fresh PVE content. I know I'm not the only one.

Pretty simple: it's easier for them to raise the light level and reskin some old shiet and have you grind old shiet to reach said light level than it is for them to actually create new content. Bungie: fake new content > actual new content.

OP is right. Increasing the light level (making the hours everyone put into KF worthless) and bringing up the other raids and poe is a stupid idea. This community is telling me they still want to play the exact same stuff for another year without any kind of change? You guys got heart ill give you that. But increasing light level is bungijoes attempt to make you want to keep playing for their quarterly updates to papa activision (and to make money off micro transactions of course).

If you go back to the weekly update that dropped before the holidays, Deej said that the spring content would be the largest drop since the drop of TTK. Unless Deej is lying or was lead a stray, the spring content drop will have to be more than a new challenge mode.

1 ReplyI always keep my expectations low for this game then find it amusing when do many people are let down. Also my friends always hear rumors about shit and my first response is"where did you see/hear that" and its always a non credible source so I tell them I'll believe it when I see it. Like how there were suppose to be new exotics in the last update....no where did it ever mention that. Stop getting your hopes up lol.
