I'd much, much rather face 3 shotgunner with primary. Get into an open area and just gun them down. Use stickies or some type of DPS grenade. You can compete against shotguns with your primaries if you have a bit of skill. Not so with snipers. But that's more of a result of the insane AA, and huge crit hit boxes. That, unfortunately, will never change. Just for the record, I agree with you and don't like the implementation of this, but I do like the idea.
