Vote now. Here is a poll to gauge the intentions and hopes of Destiny's year one player base.
Through the course of the year we dealt with everything from glitches to error codes to bad storytelling to RNG wackiness.
The game has been great overall with mechanics and loot systems that keep us playing. But it seems now that time has become the enemy, not the Fallen and not the error codes. The inability of these developers to communicate what the future holds has worn down a lot of players.
Poor storytelling and intense repetition has chased people away from a great game. Those that remain loyal do truly love the game mechanics and hope there's something on the other side of year 1. What's your stance?

Bump up the list post Iron Banner. Vote now to get bungee listening!!!

6 RepliesThe storytelling is fine; you just have to read the Grimoire. It's worth it; especially the Books of Sorrow.

We grew apart.. Shit happens.

2 RepliesEdited by Hollywoodtragedy018: 2/7/2016 3:56:26 PMBiggest issue I think is not having something like the forge or anything that can be user created Bungie is taking too much of the work and they are too small of a studio to keep up with the demand they need to have partner up with another studio to work on old content while they work on new or have it where we are creating content for ourselves through making strikes for pve players and custom matches in pvp

Bungie has no idea what to do or where to go with Destiny. I mean, we still don't know what the -blam!- the Traveller is. The story is one thing, don't get me started on game economy, upgrade system, content, etc.

1 ReplyBungie doesn't know what the want destiny to be. Until they figure that out its really hard to love the game.

2 RepliesI've stopped playing this game twice now. Went from full time hardcore player, to not putting any hours in. This game has a lot to fix before it draws me back. Mainly the division in a ranked and social type play. With the current lack there of, it makes it difficult to have fun when you don't want to play seriously all the time. They need to find a good weapon balance and stick with it. Personally, I think scouts and pulse rifles should be the most rewarding guns to shoot in the game. Anything where you need more finger dexterity/better reflexes to gain an advantage, should be rewarded. Currently it's not. I could go more in depth, but it not worth it. Again, there is way too much imbalance with everything to with the PvP aspect of the game. PvE's issues come down to a lack of content and replay value. Bottom line is, the open world isn't big enough, there is very little story in game, and the game doesn't have that draw to keep bringing me back like it should. Strikes and raids are fun for about the first ten times, after that, their replay value is almost completely diminished. Nobody wants to run them that many times.

In for the 10 years or whatever it'll end up being. Mostly because Im not a casual, and Im not the top 1% or whatever tf it is that feels the burnout. I play on a daily basis for about 2-6 hours(ish). I hardly ever do raids, hardly ever so Trials. SO I have a lot more to do. King's Fall Hardmode(done bits and piece but never fully) Golgoroth Challenge Oryx Challenge Flawless Trials (only once in Y1) Finish getting my Warlock to 320 Get my Hunter to 320 Get my Titan to 320 The wtf?! Do I do for 4-6 hours? PvP (trying to "git gud") and do Strikes/NF Exotic Class Weapons/Gear. Faction Exotics/Shaders. All that little extra stuff lol

Already used up 3years of the franchise, so we're down to 7, : )
-
7% are fooling themselves. They'll be back. One cannot simply "leave" Destiny
-
Bump to keep on top so Bungie listens

1 ReplyI think they gave up on the ten year plan and are just hoping to go from one game to the next without the franchise dying or getting a reboot like Final Fantasy 14.
-
I do like the game and am looking forward to Bungie adding some PvE content.
-
I'm on the edge between a break and my usual daily gameplay. I usually log more hours in a day than I have these last two weeks.

Stop with the ten year plan bullshit. No way in hell that one game is gonna be intentionally made to last 10 years. If activision was looking for a game with that much staying power they'd have Blizzard make another WoW. -
1 ReplyReally was unsure if Destiny had a future. The problem is lack of vision, or at least a coherent vision beyond "making money". Since the announcement of a new CEO the communication between Bungie and it's customers (us) has been better, almost as if it was a focal point of the new leadership. Will it last? I hope so. Bungie has a ton of DC to perform but they are at least trending in the right direction.

I'm on a bit of hiatus until the Crimson Doubles comes out. Staying on the forums to keep up with the news.
-
Seems right. About 8% of people bitch about no pve content and say theyve completed everything so they're done. This is accurate
-
I'll play more of it once new content is released. I've grinded the current content to my absolute maximum, can't stand repeating one more strike or mission. Might drop in once every few weeks for a bit of crucible, but that's the most i'd do for now.

1 ReplyI'm here bby, and I'll still be here with Bungo. I'm a proud 5 year member of dez forems. Imma keep it det wey ~TheGreatNike

Edited by Cellspot: 2/4/2016 10:32:05 PMUnderstands mmo life cycles. Happy to have a break from the grind after 16 months. Bungie is learning on the fly the complexities of mmo structure and the fickleness of its fanbase. Fact is, three raids per year was not sustainable. (Or two and an endgame arena, however you want to classify PoE).

2 RepliesI'm just waiting to see what happens next.
-
I really don't know why I still play this game.

For all the problems I just can't stop playing, not necessarily for loot I just enjoy the engine too much lol
