Message to all those "REQ. 315 light, etc."
What's the point of that? You ask for people with experience. Yet you never give them
A chance to learn. Is it that really necessary?
And then to add on you make all these Req for trials yet your KD isn't even above a .90. And while I'll admit I'm not that good at crucible I still manage to keep a overall good KD when I Try. But others never give you the chance to show them!

What's the point when everything short of oryx is 310 and you only need to be 310 with 310 weapons to be doing full dmg there is no bonus dmg for out leveling an enemy

Usually it's because they're bad players or have little patience...same diff. It's funny because you can't be 315 light without playing hard raid yet they ask for fresh hard run. I ran it twice yesterday with my 305-308 light characters. Completed war priest challenge and golgoroth on both within 30 minutes or less on both.

We always have one or two people in our group who have less experience. Always works out fine. I have failed more with a 315+ group than with newbies. Most of them are really eager to play. However if you are having trouble with the raid or never done it before...then maybe check out Logan Scott on Twitch....he does raid carries for people who never or rarely are able to finish normal mode raids...every week. It is awesome and fun to watch as well. Guy deserves a follow.

It sucks, especially for pve stuff like raids. I know a lot of people have high requirements because they want a fast run although in my experience that happens very infrequently. Some people just don't have patience to help out others, which is a shame because last time I checked no one started at max light level. The Trials posts crack me up. "Want team to go flawless".....really, no shit huh? Unless somebody's coin farming you morons just sound like dickheads having to state this in every goddamn post. " wait, what? This guy wants to go flawless, holleee shit that's crazy talk". The best is people who have ELO rapper platinum level and kd longer than your dick requirements then when you check their stats they have shit kd like mine. Truly impressive stuff by some people.

I feel that those who post like this are the more serious players who actually want to get things done I myself don't usually post light level I just ask for how many people I need but I would see why someone would post a light level req.

I don't like to discriminate by light level but at least know what you're doing, you should be looking up videos and gameplay of the raid so you know what to do before you enter the arena. It's not my job to teach you the raid unless it's an alternative method and I could understand people not knowing or a minor part but if you don't know how a whole encounter works then it's not up to others to teach you.

1 ReplyI'll ask for ppl in a raid at what I know will make it smooth. I put in the time of 6 hours at a time at oryx in the first week of the raid and I don't intend on doing that ever again. That's why certain ppl ask certain requirements. If you don't know the raid and don't have a lot of exp. you need to do it with inexperienced guardians like the rest of us did. I ask requirements bc I want smooth, fun, laid back runs. I don't want t deal with the quitting out, stress, etc. that comes with inexperienced guardians. I don't mind having one low light in the group to help out but no more. We earned the right to make requirements because we ran it 3 times a week getting the gear to make us stronger. So, I hope this gives you an understanding on why we make the requirements. And before you say that rng doesn't like you, rng likes nobody, and by now if you have 3 characters and run the raid 3 times a week and do all challenge modes, you should have no problem being at least 315 with swapping some gear around and infusing. So run the raid with others at your level just like we did to get where we are now.

You're wasting your time trying to figure out they're thought process and why they should let you in on their raid. They just don't give a damn. No exceptions.

I'll leave you with the same response that I give to everyone that asks this question. Their LFG post, their criteria. Granted that paraphrased from what I normally write, and doesn't include the odd reference to sacrificial chickens, but it's still the basic point. If you want to change the culture, do it from the front. Don't expect people to change because you tell them to. Be a leader, don't stand back and be judgmental.

1 ReplyThis is a curse in many online multiplayer games like this. Late to the party mostly means you have a harder time to get in. Best solution is to make your own team, watch a lot of vids and equip gear that shows that you got your shit together.

Because I have better things to do then Sherpa. I sherpa when the raid dropped for about 2 months. Now I'm here to get in get out. I'm missing 320 helms that's it. I don't have the interest to grind a 2 hour raid that can be done in 40 mins. Sorry you didn't keep up cause you didn't have time whatever but I'm done grinding
