Exotics from purple engrams ?
I appreciate these were never common. I understand that getting an exotic from a legendary was quite rare but, in Year 2, I've turned in hundreds (another 15 today) and still haven't had a single exotic of any description from a legendary engram.
Did they nerf it or am I simply going through a drought ?

I thought you're just in a drought, I got a free purple one when I started my hunter the other night and it turned into an exotic rifle and amazingly one I didn't have even back in year one.

I have had it happen but it is a rare occurrence.

3 RepliesIt's happened for me a couple times in Y2. It's a very low %, probably as it should be. More annoying is the nerfed drop rate for exotics from Ultra kills using 3oC. Lately it feels like I've gone 15-20 in a row many times before hitting. In the not too distant past, it was a pretty consistent 1 out of 5.

It never happened for me before ttk. But now it happens once in awhile for me. Just got Bones of eao last night from a purple engram that I got from iron banner.

5 RepliesI have gotten a few, including 3 peregrine greaves... that makes 8 total that i have received someone wants me to air knee to the face, cannot wait till arc burn melee and airborn drop in nightfall... i will be a shiny god delivering my knee of justice to the face.

Sounds like drought I got some impossible machines yesterday out of a legendary, was my third pair of the day but did come from a legendary

They reduced it greatly and didn't say anything about it. Just like they removed the capability of getting glimmer from yellows unless you use the race specific item even though you can still see glimmer coming out of them.

It's rare. I had a legendary turn in to radiant dance machines a bout four days a go. They have since changed into two exotic shards.

1 ReplyI'm having the same problem with legendaries dropping from rares. I'd usually see about 1 in 12 at the least, but I think I've gotten 1 in the last 60 or so

ha. i'm quite the opposite. i have been trying to "farm" for a 1000 yard stare with the new scope. i have had 3 or 4 legendary engrams turn into hereafter and invective. i'm like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. year 1 i was praying for it. now i just want my legendary.
