The Spark does not turn you into Forrest Gump.
This is all I see in IB with randoms. People just grab the spark and tunnel vision the enemy rift. Like they're playing PvE or something where you can run past the AI and they'll miss. You have a team for a reason. Let them pave a pathway for you instead of just sprinting to the other side and praying you get lucky.

I only wing it when I pick up the spark and my team mates just stand there not doing sh*t.

I got lucky last night with matchmaking. Almost every match I had at least one good runner that waited for the team to start flushin out the enemy spawn.

What happened when I wait for teammates to pave the way I die get killed from behind.Sometimes just running it as fast as u can is the best option

I dunno - you can get from spark to rift in bannerfall in like 4 secs by cutting through a building in essentially a straight line. I've been able to cap it 3 times in a game before people even had a chance to get back to defend it/respawn

Honestly though, every time I've run the spark my team of randoms was nowhere in sight. I've only been stopped once I think. Most of the maps have quick shortcuts to the rift and the opposition if there stays behind or too close to the rift to stop the slam.

I suck at pvp but I just had 5 carries for a total score of 9450. It's not too bad if you hang back and don't run straight ahead with the spark

Sometimes the other team catches on sometimes not. Last night got 3 captures going the same route and I plan c'ed this poor titan in the same spot twice who was the only one to catch on.

As a Titan, just sprinting usually works when only 1 is shooting, if you stay it just gives time for other enemies to find you. If there's more, run the other way

3 RepliesSo what? It is better to stand there and watch 5 other people on your team play clash and let the opponents just take the Spark so they can shoot them? Grab the damn spark and even if you only get 10 feet away at least you kept the opposition from grabbing it.

4 RepliesLast night I picked the spark up and made a Bline everytime. Distance bonuses are better than waiting and letting them get more points for killing you and not getting any distance.

Last game I got 1400 points just from getting next to their Rift with a 2 extra kill. The point system is so broken-it's ridiculous. You don't even need to score once. If you take Spark control & just keep picking it up to get as close as possible, you will win. No question. I haven't played any iron banner solo this time, no way would I even consider it at the rate these games have been going. I've completed all the weekly bounties, except for the one where I need to be rank 4 for obvious reasons...in 2 IB sessions w. Full fire teams. It seems like this would be terrible to play solo in. I hate 6s altogether though. The only reason I am participating in this Banner is for that fusion rifle...it's the archetype that I feel is the best right now, & I really want it. I'm highly disappointed that the one for sale doesn't have Braced Frame. They usually choose pretty solid rolls for IB gear. The rest of it is good, it might even be worth it because it does have Rifled Barrel & the last sight boosts Stability. But I'm sincerely hoping to get one with a better roll to drop...that's the only reason I'm doing banner! :P

1 ReplyWhen I'm solo I usually don't have a team that knows or is capable of clearing a path. And I get perfect runner a lot. If you know a good path or can hold your own it's easy to get in a rift.

Unless the rest of your team is sitting at your rift with snipers out. I wish this game had friendly fire sometimes.
